| ...into North Devon. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Wonder if this a result of a cut in funding from Argyle or just the fact that Southampton have zillions to spend? Rather disturbing that another club can muscle in on what should be prime Argyle territory and get the pick of the talent even at very young age groups. |

| Money talks plus ambition, not too much vision at Argyle at the mo. _______________________________________ COYG!

Indeed-in fact Southampton signed two Bere Alston bheys in the past-Pat Parker who played a lot of games for them in the 1950's and Nathan Blamey who didn't play for the first team but played a lot of reserve team games. To my certain knowledge they also trialled a couple of other local lads who didn't make the grade,so they have always scouted in the area. Can't ever recall a whole development center being taken over in this way though. |

| Rumours are that Torquay Academy could be linking up with Swansea. In other news Southampton have bought a youth team Torquay United goalkeeper for between £30000 or £40000 with sell ons included. We used to play and beat Swansea, at least we know we our not in some grand plan to line our saviours pocket. Will update on Oldway, looks like the council dont have much faith in the reluctant one much any more. Cannot post links but the comments in the Herald make interesting (between the lines) reading.

| We should do this with Truro, then if it worked out Truro could maybe take on Exeter as a feeder as well. |
