I have friends who are going, some staying overnight too. Good for them.....

Talking of Pre-Season friendlies, I read yesterday that Mansfield Town Vs Birmingham City was called off at the last minute due to Police intelligence on crowd disorder or general disorder breaking out. It would have meant drafting in a large amount of Police Officers for the game and making sure surrounding areas were peaceful.

I seem to recall that Devon and Cornwall Police once did that regarding a Torquay United Vs Plymouth Argyle Pre-Season friendly, it was way back in the past though.

Feck me yeah. Bit of a coup for Parkway. Odd having a league 1 club playing smack bang in the middle of Plymouth, but not against Argyle. If I'd known I'd probably have wandered down for this one cos' Wayne's an old schoolmate of mine.

Once saw Wayne Hillson bare his arse to a Tavistock fan who was heckling him in Langsford Park-had to admire the retort from the fan who shouted "It's your best feature Hillson"! lol!

I think Port Vale have played pre season matches in the locality in the last couple of years,as i think have Notts County.Don't know why they come down here, nice location for a mini tour i suppose.

I see Parkway were only 2 down with 7 minutes to go. Finished 0-4.

I read on PASOTI that one poster is a tad concerned going into this one, as he feels TUFC are ahead of Argyle in the Pre-Season build up.

They [TUFC] have played Walsall (2-1) and Yeovil Town (2-2) already..

Is there any radio commentary for this one ? I'm struggling to contain my excitement  jocolor

P.S Just checked TV listings for Sky and BT sports, it's hard to believe but neither are showing this massive pre season clash of the titans.

Good 11, weak bench in my opinion. Morgan and Wotton aren't options that'll effect or improve a game positively or great. Allen isn't quite ready for the football league from what I've seen - a year training with the first team and I reckon he'll be a good young footballer for us. Thomas, Harvey, Lecointe and Bentley are all probably physically capable now, but inexperienced and all four are wild cards that could come off or could flop like Boco. Purrington is the only substitute who I could trust. Of course there's the absent Blizzard too, but I fully anticipate that he'll be absent for at least 50% of the matches over the season - totally unreliable fitness-wise.

We played them when Ollie was boss- I think it was just after we signed SEB as I remember he looked slow and a bit of a donkey (obviously improved). We may have won 2-0? or drew 0-0? (can't remember).

Starting 11 (I'm guessing formation)-

McCormick

Mellor Nelson Hartley McHugh

Cox Norburn

Alessandra Banton Smalley

Reid

Subs - Bittner, Purrington, Morgan, Harvey, Bentley, Wotton, Allen, Thomas, Lecointe
