| They're quite enjoyable. The game vs Yeovil last preseason had some cracking football. With no stress or pressure on the result, everyone just had a good laugh in the stands and the players enjoyed themselves while trying to impress Shez. Cheap too. I recommend it. |

| I lied I think. I'm sure I would have gone when I was younger. Can't remember though. Too long ago ! I even used to regularly attend reserve matches in the Football Combination League which included top flight clubs. We used to get as many watching those games as half of the league two clubs get now for first team matches. |

The Football Combination was a very good standard.Arsenal,Spurs,West Ham,Chelsea,Southampton etc all used to field teams in it and they could be very strong indeed, with either up and coming potential players or out of form/injured first teamers [which could include some very big names] forming the basis of sides. It must have been fantastic experience for young Argyle players getting to play against those players and on some of the best grounds in the country.Couldn't do it now i suppose, with the 7 subs rule, but Argyle have certainly missed decent non first team football in recent years. |

| I find pre-season friendlies fairly dull unless there are triallists playing for us. |

I like the ones on a sunny August day out, preferably somewhere in Cornwall or North Devon near the seaside, when they don't actually play or have a game at all, and none of our stupid fanbase go, and I go to the beach instead. |
