Different year different (insert any team similar or less in stature to Argyle), anyone see a pattern developing here? The difference being of course that it will only be a matter of time before these clubs see Premiership action.......Argyle? never in a month of Sundays

Right back in it. Now 3-2 Swansea. |

| When Rory Fallon moved from Swansea to Argyle it was because we were a league higher and he wanted to better himself. Also I see Scott Sinclair got a hat trick. Makes you think. |

| Something for the "the fans are to blame" faction;
Comparative crowds in first season on return to CCC;
Argyle 16420
Swansea 15187
Argyle finished 17th,Swansea 8th.Enough said. |

| Swansea, and Blackpool last season, made the most of the chance they were given and went for it. We had the very same chance under Ollie and had we grapsed it with both hands I'm 100% certain Home Park would have played host to Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd, and the mighty Spurs for at least a season, maybe two. We would now, at the very least, be a well off Championship side with a whole new load of fans and a lot of belief. But, sadly, the white mullet had other ideas. And now we're looking foward to next season and donning our jester hats and wigs and getting one over on the mighty Crawley.

| Well done to another small club ... just goes to show Luggy didn't know what he was talking about at CCC level .... "punching above our weight" indeed !!! Abdicating responsibility more like ... just like his former mate is doing now. "Too big to go down, too small to go up" the mundane say .....haha |

| But unless they spend wisely they will get duffed up, one way or another, same as Blackpool. I nthink the best you can hope for is a few yo yo seasons, gradually getting everything right like Bolton did. |

| They'll be straight back down next season but good on em I say, at least they've done it.
It puts to bed all that crap about us being miles from anywhere, small club and not being a football town that the geeks like to throw about as excuses and self pitying for failure. |

| What is it about South Wales in the past few years? Both football teams consistently challenging for the premiership,one succesful,both with state of the art new grounds.Ryder cup played at Celtic Manor,test matches played at Cardiff,also in a brand new ground-originally i thought this came about through Tony Lewis having connections in high places,not so sure now,though.The railway is being electrified all the way to Swansea,with brand new trains being part of the deal,meaning that all of the shagged out equipment will be transferred to the Plymouth line.How are they managing to achieve all of this in comparison to the Westcountry[in particular,West of Exeter]? Is it something to do with the Welsh assembly? If so,its certainly a good case for devolving government to other regions. |
