| Carl McHugh signs on a two year deal from Bradford, Eire U21 international- seems a good prospect. Plays CB/ LB. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Decent headed goal against Villa in Bradford's League Cup run a couple of seasons ago- [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Bradford fans on twitter seem quite upset that he has left (not sure whether we paid for him). |

| PLYMOUTH Argyle have signed Irish defender Carl McHugh on a two-year contract.
McHugh, 21, was a free agent after leaving League One outfit Bradford City.

| Very Promising, Seems like a bit of a coup by JS, More defenders to come hopefully and we'll be 10 points clear by Christmas |

| A decent centre back that can score with his head from corners would be a great addition. |

| Looks as if this could be a good 'un if the Bradford City fans opinion is anything to go by; [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Good age,can play in different positions which is important in a small squad, all the best to him in his stay at Argyle.Quite impressed actually, the Shezzalution continues at pace. |

| Never heard of him but a highly encouraging signing. No better endorsement than when a club's fans are sad to see the back of a player - certainly from a league above. 21 is a great age to be signing a player, and already earning U21 distinction with Ireland.
Bit of a coup this signing, it seems. |

| Good Irish contingent at Home Park under Sheridan too - alongside Hourihane, Ronan Murray and Caolan Lavery. I always liked Alan Judge too. |

| Seems a very good signing. Hopefully Sheridan plans to play him centre back and not full back. |

| Very polite forum I must say, well wait and see but they are saying that he needs to be playing regularly and he is back up. I don't see that signing a league 1 sub that exciting. I know we can't have it all but we are crying out for a settled back four that can take us up to the next level, let's hope he's a pice of it. |

| The reluctant one must be loaning more money to the club. Either that or he's found another walleted director |

Bit of a coup this signing, it seems. That echoes my thoughts. Just as it was with Reid, Smalley and Cox it's great to have these deals done before training starts. They'll have a while to get moved in and settled privately, then professionally they'll have the whole pre-season together. Too often in recent years it's been a case of late, perhaps desperate signings parachuting in after the training has started. Bodes well. As for having never heard of him, since 2001 I have been guided by the fact I'd never heard on any of the Sturrock v1.0 signings either, Hopefully this lad will be the new Cocko. |

| More usual to have a 6fter at centre back but he certainly has the quality, and attitude judging by comment from Bradford fans. A good signing |
