| I visit Brickfields Albion ground to see the seating plan for the RM350 South West Proms this summer, an event to mark the Royal Marines' 350th anniversary. I was surprise to see Mr Brent there, asked a few question and was told it was a hush hush meeting between Albion, Plymouth University and Mr Brent.

| The rumour he is interested in Albion. What would it be in it for him?
Albion has no land They are in debt (taxman)
But they have 2500 grandstand seats to sell or they could ground share

| Either ground share, or Brent's going to make a derisory offer to Albion for their seats, to put back into the Mayflower. Confirmation of HHP is truly DOA and the old girl that is the Mayflower is going to get a facelift. Amateur buffoonery at it's best. |

| I can't help but think that an Argyle/Albion groundshare is an eventual inevitability. The only reason I can think of not to is that the pitch would be ruined but since we stole the new one that probably doesn't hold anymore.
Shift Albion in, build the Ice Rink at Brickfields, scrap the dentistry and school in the corners, give us a proper grandstand and some room to expand into should we ever need to and put in a nice lighthouse feature somewhere and we might have the beginnings of a plan that we can all, well most of us, support. |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This stand is being taken down as has been condemned. Couldn't see it as viable for Mayflower. On the other hand, would explain last years away kit colour, BWAAAHHAAAHHHAAAAHHHAAA edit to add 'erald link to story of stands "demolition".

If that were true we would not lose much of the Home Park footprint. I have a notion it could do will the school, have Albion and the University in on the deal and he may receive the grants he is after |

| We could buy all of them seats except the ones with 'R' on them. PAFC in the away kit colour. Sorted. £1000 job lot me thinks.

| Have they kept the seats at the ground after the "demolition" last week?
Anyway, the Uni and Brent himself wouldn't have been there to discuss buying seats, so more likely to be discussing a groundshare. Another twenty events a year may make the footfall more appealing to potential retail and restuarants, as well as income for ministand corporate facilities
The Studio School was in partnership with Plymouth College of Further Education rather than the Uni, so I would guess their involvement would be as a potential user of Brickfields |

Mmmm....Maybe that explains why Brent wasn't going to run the hotel himself? The school could have been tied in with that as well? |

| ** City College Article on Studio School ** contains a quote - Quote :
- Dr Graham Stirling CBE, Chairman of Plymouth Albion Rugby Football Club and Chair of Plymouth Growth Board’s sub-group for employment, said: “I feel the creation of a studio school will further support the growth of this city and enable young people to see a future career in the sporting and tourism industries.”
May only have been a meeting about Studio School. |

| Would the uni purchase Brickfields? If this is all about the uni taking it over should we the people of Plymouth been informed by the Council before the election? |

Plymouth University after Brickfields' lease Interesting. Maybe part of a more than usual surreptitious rescue plan B by Brent and cohorts? Sorry - that's how my twisted mind works!! But, I may not be as mad as I sound. We'll see!! |

| We shall...
But at the moment it seems Brent is not capable of rescuing and is himself more in need of rescue... |

But at the moment it seems Brent is not capable of rescuing and is himself more in need of rescue... Two former Albion players Dave Venables and Bruce Priday are rumoured to be seeking a majority shareholding in the club and thereby effect a takeover. Their principal interest would be to re-build Albion as a rugby club at Brickfields. |
