| Yup, Brent himself stated that he had received several offers so that old "who will buy it" excuse is defiantly nailed. |

| Meanwhile in the real world, the mighty Fleetwood beat the mighty Burton at Wembley for a place in the 3rd tier. Attendance 14,007 |

| Fleetwood have been promoted 6 times in the last 10 seasons, (so I read yesterday) do they have a walleted owner or is it an organic growth model? |

| Andy Pilley has been chairman of Fleetwood since 2003. This debate two years ago is revealing. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]And this for balance. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| On the same lines, we live 6 miles from Yeovil and there are only 45k there so their attendances are the best proportionatly for any west based club - also this was the first time they had been relegated in the football league in 10? seasons, in it. I did mention to a Pompey fan on the train back from there that we are the only 2 clubs (as Gas had just been relegated) that could fill Wembley in our league and the guy jumped down my throat - arrogance in buckets!! |

Appears to be nosed out of Ian's motley band of jamboys too or is it following the general demeanour of a slow retreat from Mr transparency, openness, honesty etc etc....that we can all see all too plainly? (see previous posts to correct those assumptions, you're wrong) |

Didn't Yeovil take 30,000 to Wembley in the play off final they lost vs Blackpool? For a town of about 40k, that's not too shabby. Edit to add: just googled, they took 34,000! Well 33,999 as I was there with my Yeovil supporting Uncle and Cousin. |

| As the attendance was 42k surely Brentord must have had much more than half - can't find info but doubt Yeovil had more than 15k? |

You're looking at the wrong play off final. |

You're looking at the wrong play off final. Sorry SP - do you mean the Blackpool game 4 years earlier? |

Sounds like a burglars delight to me. There'd have to be something worth stealing for that. A couple of tatty smocks and a pitchfork wouldn't get a burglar out of bed methinks. |

I attended the Blackpool final, but not the Brentford one. I think the total attendance for the 2007 final was around 60k with Yeovil taking up c.34k of that! Ok SP, will pay more attention next time - I'm still in shock of that figure of 34k Yeovil fans attending. I actually know Glovers fans around here that don't go as they enjoyed the non league games years more, weird lot!! |

| I think many were there for the occasion and representing the town rather than interest in football, hence why the attendance dropped for the 2nd final vs Brentford. |

| I have a Derby supporting friend on another forum and he went to the Derby play off, spent the weekend in London and watched Burton lose - he attends Burton when Derby are away. LOL The lack of fans really was sad to see - especially in a stadium that size. It was a dire game too - really dull with little skill on display. The winning goal summed the game up. |

Correct. It was a seriously dull game of football. Wouldn't have missed it for the world mind you. |

| Yeovil did take a shit load of fans to Wembley, I'm pretty sure it was when they first went to the CCC via playoffs but it could have been an earlier one, maybe league 2 playoffs? Similar to when we filled the city centre when we were the champions and had the open city bus tour I should imagine. Most of the Plymothians in the city centre didn't go to games they were just proud of their city at that time. |
