New 30 minute doc from SW1TV. Pretty meh. Talks to Brent, Shez, Wotts, Young, Starnes, Lewi, Conor, Andy Symons in that order.

Brent described himself as the "unintended owner" rather than the reluctant one this time, which I found interesting. Seemed to joke that ownership was an accident.

Starnes said that current plans take us to around about 18,000 and that that would be adequate for us up until the Championship when demand may require an expansion. He said if extra capacity was required then the club could provide it, but that expansions are very expensive and that you obviously need to be sure that it is in the best interest of the club financially - you don't want to risk the club's finances again. Which is all well and good, but begs the question as to why we're leaving ourselves with such an expensive and unviable expansion opportunity?   

The answer to your question is retail, dentists and schools that have no place in a football club. When I was telling everybody on the farm that this guy was a property developer I got shouted down, I said that he would asset strip the club, I got shouted down. Now I am hearing that the level of asset stripping and development in acceptable for where the club is now. Feck off.

A good watch. Symons won't be popular with his honest criticism of Jimmy there.

Sheridan doesn't do his image any favours there. Unshaven and away from his family, struggling to get coherent sentences out... maybe he does stay up late night clutching a bottle of scotch after all!

"Unintended buyers" - Yeah, like that's why Newell and Co. were tipped off, why PLPrat turned his back on Bullivent or whatever he was called, and why Webb sprang out of nowhere to become Brent's puppet of convenience! ...yeah, like fek!

Brent obviously sees the Bretonside development as a competitor and a threat and why shouldn't he. It's in the City Centre and not in a residential area in a park, it does not limit the ambitions of the Club and it is close to 'decent' hotels that even have restaurants, it redevelops a dump and will get a hell of a lot of public support. Fingers crossed for Bretonside, it will be getting my support.

And funding is already in place.

Why doesn't Brent buy into Bretonside? No actual money can be a stumbling block.

Really enjoyable documentary.

Brent's a tiny little flea in business terms compared to British land who want to redevelop Bretonside. They have just a few million more in the bank than he does. There profits before tax for the first six months of 2013 were 146m and British land were valued at £11.2bn.

As gob says bretonside gets my vote.

He says why his development is so far ahead of Bretonside's, but there is fear and panic etched all over his face.

Everyone knows Bretonside will be up and running before HHP is - unless JB can organise a few spanners to be chucked into their project at PCC planning.

Looking back SW1TV also did an 8 part programme about Argyle in 2011 with Luggy and Ian Holloway.

Can't readily see who is behind the company.

I seem to recall Jones and maybe Stapleton bidding previously for some kind of local radio franchises.

The man who started SW1TV is Dave Orton, a well known local TV Producer and a proper Green. I worked with him in the early days of SW1TV in 08/09.
