| Sorry guys, been really busy. First draft of my piece was complete. So many more ideas leaping from this thread though, the second draft will be a major edit. |

Third Lanark.Remember them vaguely from when i was a bhey-they were at one time a very decent Scottish top level side,probably the equivalent of Aberdeen or Hibs now,who were screwed up by some property developer who deliberately ran the club into the earth. Bit more about the ground here;
https://llandudnojetset.wordpress.com/tag/the-old-world-just-gets-in-the-way/ The other Scottish fixtures I looked out for were Forfar & East Fife. I longed for the day when the person reading the scores had to read "East Fife 5 Forfar 4" - or variations |

| We should compile an archive of failed Home Park stadium plans! Tradium WC2018 HHP aka "Magnificent Two-tiered stand" Feel free to add better images if they exist! |

| Might as well consider the 2018 WC plans... They're just as likely to go ahead as HHP is! |

There's a stadium story to rank against any.
Inglis's book is a must as a reference point as is this Twitter account https://twitter.com/Groundtastic Fascinating - well worth a browse.
I was especially caught by this picture..... and no it's not an early shot of Nottingham Forest's ground. Third Lanark.Remember them vaguely from when i was a bhey-they were at one time a very decent Scottish top level side,probably the equivalent of Aberdeen or Hibs now,who were screwed up by some property developer who deliberately ran the club into the earth. Bit more about the ground here;
https://llandudnojetset.wordpress.com/tag/the-old-world-just-gets-in-the-way/ How bizarre. I remember my old man talking about Third Lanark, many years ago. Not something I would of remembered if not for this thread. Finished above Celtic in 1961; http://www.statto.com/football/stats/scotland/division-one-old/1960-1961/table Out of business in 1967; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Lanark_A.C. Must be the quickest decline and fall of a major club in football history. |

| Argyle played Third Lanark in a friendly in the early fifties. |

| It amuses me that Brent needs extra land off the council to build his clusterfuck yet the M7 could fit a 45,000 seater on less space. You could argue that the cost of Brent's scheme is 29000 fans. Tbf the way that he is alienating the fanbase then maybe the Ministand could do with another downsize? We could sell the Lyndy and turn it into one of those kiddy play parks or something and maybe turf the away end and use it for grazing. Community farm, first in football. |
