Baggo - In SFD we Trust

Seems unusual given that we could be playing in a higher division next season.

Season ticket prices didn't come down when we dropped from the 3rd to the 4th divlsion so shouldn't go up if we go up.

Oh , they've gone up 7% anyway! !

I can assure you that my Sainsbury/BT/Gas/Elec...etc bills have gone up by at least 7%....so it ain't the end of the world that PAFC have done the same and they are all bigger set-ups than PAFC.

I don't remember season tickets being this early before. And only one pay day to get in beofre the early bird offer ends. I'll have one again (at least a shared one) - Aviva Aviva - but out of loyalty to my family more than anything else. Plus I do actually 'love' watching Argyle.

I wonder what input PASB had. I thought perhaps this would be one area of consultation.

And I also wonder whether this money will be ring fenced for next season - surely it won't be spent now.

Don't be alarmed. Season tickets going on sale this early has absolutely nothing to do with PAFC not a having a pot to piss in. Please carry on supporting us as normal. Nothing to see here, move along. Pig

You clearly don't have your priorities sorted, Rollo Wink

I have made, and will be making, more Home games this season than I previously anticipated I'd be able to; so I think a white membership'll do me for next season. cheers

I'll be going to away matches only and i'll be paying on the day.

If you POTD Brent gets zilch whereas if you pre-buy your ticket for away games from Argyle Brent's pension fund gets 5%.

SFD is on the button with an awful lot (and I think there's a lot to go by the maxim "if *they're* shooting at you, you must be doing something right), but the ST announcement isn't a smoking gun.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

A cursory google suggests that a mid March launch for early bird offers isn't strange or startling. I certainly don't see it as a sign of panic. That's not to say, of course, that there aren't countless other strange and/or startling things to be awfully concerned about.

If as suspected though, this offer is being made NOW because we need cash NOW, then that doesn't bode well for the post-Xmas period next season in terms of on-going funding.

I wonder if Brent has an exit strategy that see's his departure facilitated before that period?

I think there's a conflation of events here that risks missing a number of points.

We need cash always because that's how a football club runs.

We sell early bird season tickets from March onwards because that's when football clubs tend to do it.

This season it happens to be at the same time (for good) as an upturn in form and (for bad) because of increased rumours as to the viability of Brent's Plan A (and the lack of any apparent Plan B). I don't think either is as the result of some dramatic strategy or plot.

Wrathall, on the other hand, is a different story.

I've always bought away tickets on the net from the away teams website.....and picked up on the day...easy.....okay will not be in the away end but in a stand with .....I can assure you many other Argyle fans who have done the same as me.....I've always maintained that the Argyle support is far more than the official figure....must be hard to count those that come in under the radar......at Dag & Red there must of been ten greens within a ten yard radius.......no profit for PAFC from that .....and some probably prefer that at present.

As usual it not those who buy a ST the club needs to worry about it's those who don't. Especially people who don't renew.

Of course the club will have more than enough information to hand to know that they are pitching it at the correct price point. If the fall off isn't significant and is exceeded those who take the price increase then job done as far as they are concerned.

You can trust me in so far as I won't knowingly put up anything as fact that I don't believe to be true but I'd recommend that normal caution levels are applied just in case it isn't. The bits I have claimed to 100% sure about are bang on of that you can be sure.

I'm not in the inner sanctum and anybody that is is unlikely to tell me anything.

I can't think of anything that I have posted regarding events that have already happened that is inaccurate though and anything could happen in the future. The future's not ours to see, is it?

Bugger, was dreading seeing these on sale.

That must mean that tudor's bum must be going 20 pence 50pence.

I just can't see this grandstand and encompassing development happening.
