| Worrying times for Argyle of course but can barely contain my delight HHP is looking a dead duck.
After all the gleeful gloating and classless posts "you boys took one hell of a beating etc" I'm sure there'll be some payback meated out. |

The group of 33 hotels is now down to 4 hotels only. Everything else has gone !!

My concern now is that if Brent's game plan is to sell the Club and possibly HHP, what developer would buy it with the slightest consideration for the Club? |

Thing is who would want to buy a club with no assets to it's name? When Brent "saved" the club we had assets that made us an attractive proposition, now we have naff all. |

When Brent "saved" the club we had assets that made us an attractive proposition, now we have naff all. ...and still millions in debt with another few million due in admin balloon payment, and still a loss-making trading business. |

| They won't though Tring. One thing they do have is the "do". Regardless as to whether that is in the best interests of the club or simply a means to be "players" and local celebrities they are local and will be at the centre of any phoenix club.
The only viable alternative is the Trust.

So basically this is another one of the "mistakes he (Brent) makes every day". In terms of business sense it's getting to the point that parallels can be made between him and Heaney, such is his level of fuckwittery. |

I realise that too. That's why the Trust must now prepare for the fight by reaching out to marginalised fans of respect, some previously in Trust management positions and ready themselves for the inevitable attempted takeover by the usual suspects. There's no doubt that come the collapse of the present ownership, the local 'players' will try to dominate the Trust board. |

| That's why it is extremely bizarre that Graham Clark publicly dismissed Damons notion that a Contingency Group mk2 would be needed, while in private his infamous (not)PM painted a picture that the club was perilously close to another catastrophe.
It doesn't add up. At all. |

He just can't help himself. He craves piggy power. The difference is that his true colours and tactics are now fully understood by everyone. He has upset a lot of people. If the good guys mobilise in readiness, he can be marginalised despite his control over the farm. |

| Where ADT goes first the Herald some time followsHotel companies run by Plymouth Argyle chief James Brent in administration TWO hotel companies run by Plymouth Argyle chief James Brent have gone into administration. Barinbrook Ltd, formerly known as Akkeron Hotels (Admiral Limited) and Barinbrook (Central) Limited bring the number of Akkeron Hotels Group subsidiaries in administration to three. Just last month Rosford Management Ltd, previously known as Akkeron Hotels Ltd, went into administration. Mr Brent, who has been contacted by The Herald but is yet to make an official statement, is behind a scheme to develop Plymouth Argyle’s grandstand, creating a leisure centre anchored by a major cinema at Higher Home Park. He has also announced plans to transform the Civic Centre into a major hotel and redevelop land around the Plymouth Pavilions. Today, business advisory and restructuring specialists Zolfo Cooper LLP confirmed the double administration. The firm said Barinbrook Ltd’s six leasehold hotels would continue to trade while “available options are assessed”. The hotels are: Himley Hotel in Dudley; Cromwell Hotel in Stevenage: and the Quality Hotels in Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Kings Lynn and Peterborough. Meanwhile, Best Western Rockingham Forest Hotel, in Corby, will also continue to trade, but may end up being sold. The 71-bedroom hotel is owned by Barinbrook (Central) Ltd. Peter Holder, partner at Zolfo Cooper, said: “We welcome expressions of interest from third parties to acquire this hotel.” Rosford Management Ltd managed eight hotels. Three in Scotland and one in Yorkshire have been taken over by another firm, but four more, including Exeter’s four-star Buckerell Lodge, were transferred to a new subsidiary of Akkeron Hotels Group called Suite Hospitality Ltd. Matthew Welbourn, who was managing director of Akkeron Hotels before becoming managing director of Suite Hospitality, told the Caterer and Hotelkeeper trade publication the administration was part of a corporate restructure and the business was consolidating before adding further hotels. | Brent has covered his arse and can slink off anytime soon, he has trousered £450k and more recently the £900k into his pension pot, plus the £2m for Pavillions, (that might have to be paid back) but if the club fails Brent loses his £1.5m loan(unless secured) we take the points deduction and start again. Why the f UCK weren't we listened to? Brents plan has always been underfunded pie in the sky planning asset stripping nonsense from the very beginning. Brent's not a property developer, well you got that bang on the money porky. |

KB only does 'Big Clubs'. True but he also does buy clubs with a Debt Burden (Chelsea, Leeds) and also seems to like buying clubs with development potential, so I would imagine one with a smallish debt compared to what he has had to put up with, surrounded with Development potential plus (Outline?) Planning permission would probably interest him a bit. Hasnt he already sniffed around us at some point last year? He also seems to have had a history of ensuring clubs have control over all their assets (Pitch/Stadia) I quite like the idea of his "Chelsea Pitch owners" concept.. A non profit organisation (The trust here??) that owns the stadia freehold, pitch and naming rights... |

| Looks like Mr Brent will be able to fully focus on Argyle now. Forest dale Hotels(14 properties) part of Akkeron Group has also gone in to administration and has been bought by Somer ton Hotels.
His adventure of building a chain of 150 hotels reached 38 at its peak but is now reduced to just 4 properties.
