I'd rather have a one handed McCormick than the performance Cole gave yesterday.

Poor in the air all match, countless dodgy moments from corners and crosses. Barely tried with the penalty, should have easily collected the cross for the second goal, nowhere to be seen for a third. Poor communication throughout the match.

But remember Forza Verde, he's magic, and every time he goes near the ball we need to sing the song.

I'd try Dawson.

He saved a worldy (as Stan cliche Collymore would say) in the second half, caught a few crosses rather than punch them and had 9 men in front of him for almost 80 minutes. He kept a clean sheet last week. Of course he tried to save the penalty - goalies live for that moment - saving a penalty is like scoring a goal for them.

I think this thread boils down to Cobi's love for Super Luke. FFS get off Coles back, he has good games and poor games, most keepers at this level do just like the other ten players on the pitch.

Some people seem to believe that saving shots is a keepers only responsibility.

Cole is useless with crosses and catching, as he showed many times yesterday. 2 goals he needs to take responsibility for. No communication with the defenders at all.

Love? Quite simply, he's our best player.

That's a totally spurious argument. All that matters is how many goals are conceded, he could catch every cross and still let in 5 goals or he could drop every cross and still keep a clean sheet. Last week he kept a clean sheet, yesterday he conceded 4, he's inconsistent like 95% of 4th division players.

Super Luke may well be our best player but he's injured..............whaddya gonna do ?  jocolor geek

At least his decision making is better than McCormick's.

Cole had no chance with the first or second cross in the lead up to the second goal. They were both well beyond the far post. This prat obviously loves Luke a little too much.

Cole is a fair keeper,a bog standard fourth division player, mccormick is argyle's stand out player, though the competion for that "honour"is minimal!

That's not the point.
Pratbull blames Cole for the second goal which is ridiculous. Ok, so he doesn't like him but he shouldn't make up stories to suit his argument.

He was ok yesterday, if I was really sad I bet money I could dig out some cobi posts on the farm from the back end of last season with him saying how good Cole was.

No question about that. Probably worth 8-10 points over a full season. Believe Sheridan has been prevaricating over a new contract as well
