And I don't mean you Mr Cuncher.
Tomorrow, the 21st is the big day for many of us mid Winter celebrators ( Montol ).
Anybody who has never joined in with the arts Winter Solstice celebration down in dear old Penzance in West Penwith is missing out on a cracking time. The best solstice celebration West or East of Stonehenge, and to be honest a darn sight better and enjoyable, if not so iconic.
Bonfires, big processions, fire guilds, Egyptians, physicians, peccadilloes, masked population, anti authority traditional mocking in the old Cornish way ( I shall be mock posh as always ), carols, music in the streets, dance, in and out of the pubs if that's you bag. We mean our solstice. Local celebrations don't come better than this, believe me.
Plenty of videos online on Montol facebook/youtube if you want to know what it's all about. Brenty couldn't organise a tenth of tomorrow. An ATD heads up if you like something different. You can wobble back to the muff on a 10pm train from Penzance. Starts at 4pm.
