I'm sure you could find a few things Brent has actually done to complain about lack of transfer news rather than pick on something obscure that bears no resemblance to Argyle and him at all. If it was the Herald it would be branded as lazy journalism.
I hear Tommy T was seen in Plymouth getting into a taxi today...... It's probably just you. I thought Angry's reference was pretty close to the mark. Man owns sports club. Man has eye on another ball that he prefers, and uses sports club A to get to position B. Connections and keys aren't always as clear cut as a bill of sale in full public gaze. As for lazy journalism, we've all got other jobs to do these days, no time or money to own our own rag to spread the dirt far and wide, nor any time to write some Aristocratic ballad while sunning in the South of France for the season. |

I hear Tommy T was seen in Plymouth getting into a taxi today...... The tedious link is we like the red sox's back then have an owner more interested in making himself rich at the clubs expense. |

| We could sign Connolly or any other out of contract players whenever we liked which is a plus. Loan window opens in a week too.
A lot of whispers seem to be hinting that Lavery may be coming back but I can't see it for a moment. Hope I'm wrong. |

| Pretty sure the sticking point in signing any players is a combination of
Facilities Ambition Money Negativity John Sheridan? |

Argyle have one of the best grounds in the division [for all it's faults] and i wouldn't have thought there would be that many clubs with better training grounds at fourth division level.Sheridan certainly seemed to have no problem in attracting players of the required standard at Chesterfield and he has unquestionably improved the squad since his arrival, although frankly that isn't really saying much.I would say that the second and third options on your list would be far more relevant than anything else-players will go anywhere where the money is decent and some prospect of success is visible. |

Celtic are delighted to confirm the signing of Leigh Griffiths on a four-year deal. Manager: I'll be relieved when transfer window closes IT’S transfer deadline day, so it was hardly surprising that the bulk of Neil Lennon’s pre-match press conference was taken up with questions about the comings and goings at Celtic Park. The manager, who admitted that he’ll be relieved when the clock strikes 11 tonight and the window slams shut for another few months, did reveal that the club are hopeful of sealing the deal to bring striker Leigh Griffiths from Wolves. “He’s here, the deal’s been agreed so, subject to a medical, he’ll be a Celtic player hopefully before 11 o’clock tonight, which I’m very, very pleased about,” said Neil Lennon. “He’s been a prolific goalscorer throughout his career, he knows the environment here and I think we can make him better. “He’s just got to concentrate on his football, and if he does that, I’m sure he will be a very good acquisition for the club. “I’ve always liked his attitude on the field, and having spoken to a lot of people who’ve played alongside him and those who he has played for, they all speak very highly of him. “He seems quite focused and knows what he wants, and he’s absolutely delighted to be here. We’re very pleased and we think that it’s value for money and he’ll go on to score a lot of goals here and will make us better.” The Celtic boss also revealed that the club had put a big bid in this week for a player in Turkey, but the player couldn’t come to an agreement with his club. “We did everything at our end the right way but the deal couldn’t get done, so that was frustrating, but you get used to it. It’s part of the transfer window,” he said. |

Celtic are delighted to confirm the signing of Leigh Griffiths on a four-year deal. All hinges on Wednesday to resign Wickham on loan and its all but a cert Lavery will be back till the end of the season. |

Quote from SW fans forum Apparently a loan til the end of the season has been agreed in principle, just waiting for us to give the go ahead! Surely that must mean that we are definitely bringing in another striker otherwise we are no better off than when we recalled him! |

| No more than 90mins to go i would say its 99.2% certain no one will be joining us either on a permanent or loan signing tonight. Loan window opens up again i think next week or the week after so there is always then to bring in a striker who can score and a right back.
