Good to see Sheridan getting his business done early not relying on leftovers. Banton would be an excellent signing even with 50% sell on, he would get a decent price IF he does well and if you have shit players you get 100% of feck all.

Fingers crossed this goes through.
This is exactly the kind of ambition needed to get us moving upwards again.

I have no doubts about his ability but his attitude concerns me, anyway fingers crossed it works well, Sherry knows best..................i've forgotten what it feels like to sign a player on a long term contract.

the way some have reacted to this news on pasoti and twitter you'd think we have signed messi lol. Personally im happy he has signed however he has got to hit the ground running given the very high expectations some have placed on him already.
We all know what happends in our fanbase if players dont live up to their high standards they turn on him very quickly.

Argyle realistically could not have signed a better, more talented player on a permanent contract.
Lets be honest, this has been one marvellous bolt from the blue.

I hope so but as i say he has alot of expectation put on his shoulders by some of sycophants given he hasnt played much either and had a rather unsuccessful period at franchise scum fc he will need a bit of time to catch up fitness wise and get back to how he rolls. I just dont want the fanclub to turn into a hatemob.

We cant wait already to sell Banton for £145,000 and be a big club like Exeter.

We have all seen him play, he dribbles, beats players, can drive them in from 30 yards and finish.
As long as he can remember it is a team game and sometimes passes are required, we are onto a winner.
If we can get Lavery on a season long loan I will be seriously optimistic. If we bring in Lee Cox, it's playoffs, minimum.

easier said than done i rather wait and see how he does rather than predict things. We need more than Banton to reach the playoffs.

He's not an Argyle player yet. Plenty of time for Argo to completely f*** this up.

It says we agreed a fee for Banton - any idea how much?

Excellent news - looks like this season at least we're really going for promotion. This was exactly the signing we needed and the club delivered. Extending Lavery would be great too but that's a bit more out of our control what with his parent club probably still seeing a future for him there.

It was always going to happen, Brent is a proper bastard who doesn't do spunking cash, despite what a few bright sparks on here suggested it would never have been in his interests to allow the club to fail, shore you flirted with dreaded drop but that was a learning process for Harry Potter, there is nowhere for you to go now but up.
It's a fooking tragedy.

I've never once brought into the theory that it would be against Brent's interests to go up.
Yeah sure the costs would be higher but the income would be higher still.
