| Four years when the Mighty ECFC achieved arguably its highest ever league position and managed to stay in front of the mean Green Garg Machine. Today sees us staring a relegation scrap to the netherworld of non league in the face, its our place in this world and we know it, it doesn't have to be but I am afraid our wonderful Trust structure simply breeds inertia and espouses mediocrity. You on the other hand, despite all the whinging are finally on the up, a decent manager, a decent plan, Yeovil are in the Championship based on a judicious use of the loan market, more than decent support given the utter shiite you have been for the last five years or so, three quarters of a decent ground and a new stand, maybe just maybe, in the wind. I know you all bitch but the diddy stand would be more than adequate for a run at the Championship which is more than a glass ceiling for any but play things of the rich.
So it would seem ends one of a very few purple periods in the history of ECFC, believe me there ain't been a lot of purple about, all you need is a point off the Wombles while we take our annual beating at the hands of the resurgent Turks to spoil our last little bit of fun literally at the death, when we were 12 points clear of you in early Oct I thought we should have enough in the tank to hang on to the year's end, reckoned without the imbecile Tisdale, he really is a clueless feck on £150k a year.
Thus ends a year when I have been able to bask in taking the pith out of you mob on most every front, next year it looks to be unlikely that I shall have it so easy, I would though wish all of you a happy new year and of course just the one huge disappointment when Tisdale finally grows a pair and slings a few of our excellent kids into the fray without slipping them into his bijoux range of straight jackets.
Happy hunting Gargs. |

See, slowly but shorely I am reinvigorating your raisin D, bit like Sunny D, eventually some of you will realise that your team is for life, not just when it is doing well or you like the owners or the manager. |

| Deep down, many people follow a feeling and an identity, not just the flag. It matters who waves it and why. If people steal the flag, it is worthless junk. History is full of it. |
