What I took from the pseudonym thread was how quickly so many people fell into line despite it only being a request. It seemed a bit bonkers considering it wasn't their beef or arguement. Will those who didn't be held in disregard and suspicion.

Sorry to go against the grain here, but surely everyone can see that his comments about scum blah blah blah are aimed at a few and not everyone that posts on here. I think he even said that didn't he?

I had to laugh at one post who I can't remember now posted it, but it said something along the lines of the police being interested.

I think the inference was that there are "travellers" and "fellow-travellers". But, hey, that's all in the past. Glasnost is breaking out, the walls are coming down and we will soon all be as one.

In terms of numbers, how many do you equate with the term 'a few'?

Whatever way you look at it, it is most certainly an insult aimed at the majority.

He gets a fair bit on here though doesn't he? It's football for f@£k sake lets all man up a bit. God knows what the web would be like if it was around in the 70's.

I have disagreed and still do disagree with much of the behaviour and language of Mr Newell. You don't know me Spooner, but do you think I am foul mouthed scum ? .... I have never called anyone that, let alone those on the opposite divide in this worst of Argyle years.
I personally come from a very big part of the football demographic where I don't go in for such language, and I certainly wasn't best pleased with the bully boy dog stuff that was going down a few weeks ago. I do however, speak very strongly about what I don't like about the game and when I want to put my tuppence ( if I can call it that ) into the mix and hence the future culture of OUR club, I will.

The pseudonym thread is now back on the main board. And it has been tidied up rather nicely. Hopefully that draws a line under all of the nonsense.

Minus the disgusting bullying, antagonistic slurs from Newell and context change of encouragement from Webb. Hopefully they would have learnt a lesson, the problem is that I don't think they realise how they are being perceived, or care really.

I am a rarity on this site, I am a firm admirer of IJN for what he has done to help the staff, but he did let himself down with this.

I dont have a beef with anyone, but I was pretty upset when I read the thread originally. Unfortunalty I was unable to reply until tonght. I've had my say in a a fairly polite (I thnk manner) I dont think there is anything further to add.

Here's a screenshot of my post that got deleted. I can understand why 1 or 2 might have an issue with my deleted post but in the grand scheme of things, I felt it was necessary to warn the possibly naive or unsuspecting posters from potential harm, something IMO, the moderators should've been doing themselves. If it really is offensive I will happily remove it, you decide.

Despite the numbers that fell into line and changed and despite it only being a request from the original poster, though a request that was often met with a thumbs up and a welcome to the 'real' world, it's heartening to see a large number have not seen fit to comply.

We've got quite a collection of screen shots now CG and believe me, there's plenty more! Of course it's not offensive, but then, we all know that it wasn't removed for that reason!

I'm not collecting screen shots, but I haven't agreed anything!

There's plenty of screen shots from when a certain unnamed moderator gained control of our last site and created all hell with abusive and foul language using many different pseudonyms until it was eventually closed. Hence the screen shots.

As far as I am concerned we can have a truce, but it'll be about the tenth truce we've had doe to that certain moderator continually breaking them.
