| Reuben Reid scores.
I think that's 9 for him now this season. We're not yet halfway through the season, is he a 20 goal a season striker? |

| Bury down to 10 after injury. Conceding now is pretty much guaranteed. |

| today's attendance was............
6,206
popcorn time over on the farm later i reckon and to be honest i am a little surprised its not a little higher given its the last game before christmas and those games no matter who is the opposition is. Still at least we won thats all that matters and perhaps Scrooge mcduck in the boardroom can be visited by 3 ghosts in the night and finally invests HIS money into the club and we can really start the ball rolling in improving our fortunes on and off the pitch. |

| It was ok, we rode our luck at times..but more importantly looked more of a cohesive unit when attacking especially Lavery and Allesandra. Reid had a poor game generally right up till he scored then was subbed!! Definitely need to practice set pieces more, we wasted far too many corners and free-kicks. |

| Not a bad game actually, very good first half with both teams tryng to play football in difficult conditions.Cut and thrust, chances at both ends but Argyle took the lead through an excellent solo goal from Lavery [playing very much on the shoulder of the last defender] who beat the offside trap to latch on to a superb through ball, may have been from Young. He nearly scored again later when heading wide from point blank range from a hard driven cross from Allessandra, who was very dangerous all afternoon and had by far his best game for the club so far IMHO.Warning signs early in the second half when Bury hit the post and it was no surprise when they levelled with an exquisite chip from Sedgewick-i remember him doing exactly the same thing,at the same end,for Preston when we were in the CCC.The game turned a bit scrappy for a while but Argyle eventually got their act together and Allesandra once more outpaced the defence and found Reid with a low driven cross in a position where he couldn't miss.Argyle held on fairly comfortably for an important win,the table could have rather uncomfortable reading tonight if they hadn't,especially with a couple of tough away games to come. |

| If only Plymouth had a football club and not some business to make a few better off. There'd be no need to be celebrating wins over Bury (Town).
In the old days I'd be happy being 4 points ahead of Pompey but they've been fecked over as much as we have. Sorry I can't celebrate today's win but well done the players anyhow. |

| great result played in difficult conditions, allessandra having a very good game....and fully deserving paslb's man of the match award...good crowd as well, over 6000 there on a miserable afternoon on the last saturday before christmas which is traditionally not a good day for attendances.and nobody chucked any beer over SFD... |

| Just back.
It was a game of two halfs. For much of the game it was nip & tuck. An even-stevens result wouldn't have been unfair. But, at the end of the day, it's all about sticking the ball in the old onion bag and we came up trumps in that respect. We worked our socks off and got the result we were looking for. Dead chuffed with that. Onwards & upwards. |

Great news, that'll improve confidence and take our club out of recession |

| Positives taken though, Lavery scored and looked good and Alessandra had another good game by all accounts, Shezza said in the post match interview that Reid came and apologised to him after the game because he was poor! Shez said don't worry you scored the winner and said the funny thing was he was meant to be off the field by then anyway! So he scored and went right off, funny old game. Anyway great result when we needed it, mid table obscurity looking nailed on now. |

| Let's just go the whole hog, cracking derbys against Torpoint or Saltash. We could teach 'em how big we really are. |

Reid had a poor game generally right up till he scored then was subbed!! Definitely need to practice set pieces more, we wasted far too many corners and free-kicks. Reid injured himself scoring. During the celebrations he twice indicated, that I saw, to the bench that he needed to be replaced. Not a great game but 3 good goals. Bury had the bulk of possession but we created the best chances. They hit the post in what was almost a replay of our goal. A draw would have been a fair result so a win is fantastic. |

| We won and we deserved to on the balance of play, Bury were very poor overall, defensively opened up all too easily even by us. The one thing that came out of the performance for me was we made too many potentially serious errors in poccession and as someone said we rode our luck a few times. we played at team who also gave the ball away in key areas. But the obvious thing is that if we play a half decent counter attacking team we will get punished which is why we will probably finish the season under mid table. One thing of note Luke Young's corners were generally spot on and his long passing excellent, but he needs to get the concentration lapses out of his game. We won that's the main thing but as usual a frustrating afternoon. |

| It was incredibly windy and it ruined the game. I was impressed with how Bury kept the ball but they reminded me of us under Fletcher. We were fairly poor and it felt like we had a lack of belief going forward when Bury were there for the taking - the Bury back four were dreadful. I'd question that attendance figure - it didn't seem like 6,000+ to me. 3 points is what we needed though. I'd be surprised if we picked up more than a point from the next two league games. |
