| the show is getting worse with every episode sadly. I dont think its going to be around for much longer 2-3 years tops if these weak plots aren't improved.

| I didn't think it could any worse than the 50th year episode but I thought wrong! It was just utter shit! _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! It's trying to be too clever and putting too much into one episode. |

story structure and sticking with a show's ethos ie plot seem totally alien to steve moffat. |

| Agree with Moist's thought. I hope that the dynamic between Clara and the Dr changes or they bin Clara. I didn't like the regeneration either. I much prefer the older ones. Tbf the xmas specials always seem shite anyway from what I remember. Atleast we've got a long wait before the next series; time to forget the pet cyberman head and much more. |

The more i look at it for the last few years the more i believe steven moffat is trying to get fired and lost interest in it. Its not just the christmas specials that are bad the last two series were awful too and dont get me started on that 50th special lol, I have no opinion either way on peter Capaldi being the doctor it will down to how goo the plots and scripts are going forward as to whether the show continues on after 2 to 3 years and in my honest opinon i dont see it happening. |

| Perhaps some of the writing has been due to the supposed regeneration limit and all the fuss and nonsense with that. I do have to agree though that things have to book up. Perhaps Moffat has something better up his sleeve that may or may not be Dr Who. I watched some of 'The key to time' series recently with Tom Baker and Mary Tamm. Somehow, something in those episodes worked. The modern Dr Who seems more interested in special effects than a good story. A sign of the times maybe. |

| The scriptwriter when Tennant was the Doctor was out of this world. Prior to that I could take it or leave it since Tom Baker. I don't watch it nowadays. |

| Early Steven Moffat episodes such as The empty child, Blink & The girl in the fireplace were superb & easy to follow. Sadly since he got gig full time his stories have gone steadily downhill.

| I only saw 'The girl in the fireplace' recently and thought it rather good. Didn't Mr Moffat write the stories based in the library? I thought those were good too. I think it's time for him to choose between 'Sherlock' and 'Dr Who' as it seems the stories are getting close to being the same albeit set in different environs. Caveat for me; it's not often I see these things on telly so it's only a first impression thing but I don't blink |
