It's got two slogans. Also, those friendly sailors were more likely to be doing other things with those wholesome ladies than strolling along the prom. You couldn't have picked a worse image... AND they sell it Athena.
The current branding is really bold and brave and it works as locals are talking about it. It's also used internationally and nationwide.

Having said that, the Newell twitter thing is really shit - I'm not sure what he's trying to achieve with it. It seems odd. Maybe he's heard there will be an elected Mayor or something and will use it....... imagine Newell as Mayor.
