| That's another thing. If Brent is going to be making money out of the development then wouldn't the FL be looking at that and asking why the debt isn't being paid sooner? I know it's Akkeron but that's just the same in my book.
If he isn't going to be making money out of it all then he wouldn't be doing it.
My guess is that he hasn't got the millions people think he has and whatever non property developing deals he will be undertaking will merely be as a kind of introducing agent taking a fee but not actually outlaying one penny of his own/Akkeron's money.
One day a club will be made an example of by the authorities that's for sure but it won't be a club that has planning permission for a whole new town to built around it and the local council giving away money and land for the new town to be built.

Kind of makes you wonder where the cash is coming from for the new stand?? Perhaps that should have gone to the FC pot?? We don't need any help from them, we've become expert at shafting ourselves. |

| I keep seeing folk on Pasoti saying the stand is free and will benefit Argyle.
I cannot work out how they think this? |

| Perhaps Ken Bates is waiting for the Stand & Development to be finished so
1) James Sells up and takes his profit.. 2) He Buys it 3) Knocks down HP Football Ground 4) Redevelops the HP football ground area with some more development 5) Moves PAFC to a new stadium at Plympton 6) Makes a shed load more cash from his "Home Park Village" up Milehouse way?
After all, look how many "Executive Flats" you could fit on the Main Car Park?? |

| Good point from Grovehill but surely once the agreement was reached with the football league, a contract if you will, surely anything outside of this would not be taken into account, especially if the terms and conditions are adhered too. Plus I agree with Jock about the Akkeron and JB being one but unfortunately that is not how business corruption works and why we now see so many multiple businesses/companies being set up by individuals. |

| Of course the FL monitor player contracts- that's how the know if any Club is breaking the 55% rule.
All contracts have to be registered with the FL as a matter of course.
JB had to submit a Business plan to the FL to prove that he could fund the club and keep it in business once he took it over. this is what caused the FL to speak about a "leap of faith" as the figures didn't really add up. It may well be that JB's plan was zero (or near zero) spending on transfer fees and a self financing football club. It may also be that JB had to provide evidence of funding if he said that he would put money into the club if needed. The developments on the property that used to belong to the club are, of course, not something the FL can look into- JB had a valuation done and that's what he paid for the land (by the way, the Legal definition of "fair market price" is that price that would be agreed between a willing seller and a willing buyer-if the seller and the buyer are the same person, I think the whole thing becomes rather "hazy" to say the least)
Any financial transactions that were not in the scope of the Plan Brent submitted to the League, would I suspect cause them to ask questions.
I kept asking on Pasoti if any of the Brent fan club had seen this Plan- I am now banned from Pasoti.
