I think Mark has probably decided that all the politicking that goes on is not worth the hassle of getting involved with, why give yourself unnecessary stress? I've never met him but hold him in some esteem as I view the impression he gave about moderating (that it should be fair and unbiased) was in line with my opinion on the subject. His "brief synopsis" threads normally illustrate the same approach to on field matters as well....
