| When I first learnt to drive, you could get a gallon for less than that.
And that was only about twenty years ago ... |

Buggrit. Even if you wanted out, believe you me you're better off not. This is not, repeat not, a good time to be out of work. And redundancy money only lasts so long And this is not mundane, either |

I wish I'd bought some earlier. |

| Challenge..... How many songs about milk can you come up with?
This one.
And this one.
Forgot milk earlier so I am drinking a rather nice Chilean red wine so as to make sure I have enough milk for breakfast. |

| good man knecht.
You have reminded me to finish a bottle of white that's taking up space in the fridge door - next to the milk. |

| Settled down in the chair to read my book for a while before tea, and dozed off. When I opened my eyes, it was pitch dark. Thought I'd gone blind.
It was a power cut. |

It was a power cut. That's a time warp you've just described. Sounds like 2015 to me. Cameron's Britain went down the tubes that year, they sold the City to Brazil for a year's supply of food, and electricity was rationed to small areas of Knightsbridge and Berkshire only. If you see a naked Arnold Schwarzenegger, it's more likely to be 1989. |

| Hmmm. I thought it was part of the attempt to turn us back to the early 70s. Meanwhile, from Peggy's Book of Useful Sayings: - Quote :
- Drink your coffee black. That way, you never have to worry about running out of milk.
Although you do have to remember to buy coffee. And a lack of milk can affect other culinary choices, such as breakfast cereal or custard. |

better still drink water, save energy and you never need worry about running out of coffee. |

- Drink lots of water as it's very good for you. Tapwater is perfectly safe and cheap.
However, water is unlikely to wake you up in the mornings. |

| Jump? I leave that sort of thing to the four year old (but only just).
Not very graceful, innit. |

Need to go to the post office today or tomorrow. |

| My birthday today - golf in the morning, followed by a lovely lunch with Mrs PP at the Lord Louis. The bottomless ice cream swung it for me.
Quite stuffed at the moment. Mrs PP has dozed off. |
