| First round draw was this morning. We've got Cheltenham away. Matches are I think the first week in September.
Pity we couldn't have got Exeter or Torquay, which might have added a little excitement to what is otherwise a drab competition. |

You mean our subs bench? Our squad is so small at the moment, made worse by a few injuries, that I think half of the first team will have to play. I don't take the JPT seriously, although it is a good opp to give some of the kids a run out. Would definitely like to see Jamie Richards, Purrington and Harvey given a full 90 minutes. |

| Exactly, use it as a competitive reserve game if you get what I mean |

| Its a pile of piss but it could be worthwhile if it comes to a trip to Wembley. Which of course it wont because Argyle are as useless in cup competitions as they are in the League

| What I mean Mock is feck the competition and put the kids out for 90 minutes in a real game instead of a reserve game with about 20 people watching in an otherwise empty stadium.
What harm can it do? |

Yes, I do. As we probably won't do much better than mid table this season and can forget the FA Cup, I think that we should "go for it" in the JPT. It's a trophy, it's a Wembley final and it's worth around 1 million smackers (overall) for the winners. We need the cash and we also need a bit of excitement. I'd like us to win this trophy as once we are in the CCC, we can't add it to our CV. Man U can't claim to have won it! |

| Rightly or wrongly, we're not allowed to send out a 'weakened' team. |

| Rules are open to interpretation. Tyler could be played no problem, Ryan Lane couldn't. Or maybe he could if we had 7-8-9 regular 1st teamers. I suppose we're used to bending the rules though, 5 year debt deferals meh |

| It's worth going for. Getting the winning habit is a good thing and any money earned in it means a possible bigger budget next season.
The first couple of rounds doesn't attract too many fans but once Wembley becomes a possibility that'll change. |

| In the new Argyle-lite era the JPT is probably the limit of our ambition. But god forbid we get to Wembley - I mean some people who aren't from Plymouth might get into the game with all those seats available - then where are we? |

| Would be nice to have a day out in London and to win this competition.
Up to Sheridan and the team at the end of the day .... |
