Shame hairys gone in my opinion, I like his humour and don't really understand why he got so much stick from a few people.

Also knecht is probably the ideal mod. Anyone who's fallen out with him either has gone ott and deserved censoring or is upset by his intellect I reckon.

Let's hope this site does get some new characters in the not too distant future. With penz, Gob and now hairy all leaving in a short space of time for me ATD is poorer for their absence.

Some posters flounce on supposed points of principle.......usually because they're not getting their own way. Others depart because they want to 'be someone' in the little Argyle world, have their photos on GOS and need to be seen as the man who changed ATD , or if manoeuvring into position elsewhere, decide being branded an ATD'er is not good for the image. Others like to dish it out but can't take it back.
Some are just a tad mentally unstable.

The one sure thing is that ATD has largely led the field in predicting the way the wind was blowing, then exposing the devious, self interested characters in and around Home Park in recent years.

Sad to see Hairy go, as I liked his humour- didn't agree with everything he posted and he was a bit of a wind up merchant- but I think we all have that in us.

im glad such a site exists to vent opinion that argyle is still a shambles and no daylight at the end of the tunnel yet and not for some time either it seemss

I am sad that Hairy has gone, he was feckin hard work, he liked to tease and wind up the hard kids in the playground, the trouble was when he got a slap he went running to teacher whining like feck, I was a lot sorrier to see Penz and Gob go, there should be a discussion on here about the direction of the site, it is going on behind closed doors which I think is the wrong place TBH.

The problem with having discussions about the direction of the site is that, by definition, that will lead to a 'party line' being set. That would be the first tentative steps toward (albeit a mild form of) censorship.

If someone is getting threatened or there are totally off-limits posts being made, then deal with them/that poster. The site meanders in a way that down to earth footie forums should.

On the other hand, if moves are afoot behind the scenes to appease a few present/ex posters, that's a slippery slope I recks.

Well I like Knecht and Hairy J. 2 of the better posters imho. I hope Hairy comes back.

I would love to see gob and penz back, but this site is what it is, everyone knows its not happy clappy and never will be why pretend otherwise? i agree with czarc's if you let those that think they know best set the agenda it will be another nooligan nikkk brent fan club site.

For me if people don't like the way ATD is then they don't have to post here and can delete their account without needing to beg the lord and master. We shouldn't be held to ransom by one poster who has got the huff.

This site isn't about censorship or towing a party line, anybody is welcome to post anything they like and that goes for both pro and anti debates.

The only thing that gripes me a bit is the way some threads turn into personal slanging matches and insults get hurled too easily.  That doesn't mean i'll be editing threads left right and centre, at the end of the day if you want to call someone a cnut then carry on but don't get narky when they return the favour.

whats all the fuss about? its really difficult to judge someones feelings by just reading what they type. theres no emotion no body language, so surely anything typed should be taken at , excuse the pun, face value. no?

its a shame when folk fall out on here as we really are the only folk who seem able to look more than a few weeks ahead, and the more of us there are, the bigger the voice.

Unless someone or some group, is hell-bent on controlling and censoring others, I now tend to avoid those with whom I'll never agree.
