wake up! Sorry, would you prefer it if i said were going to be battling relegation? Because were not going to be are we. This league is shite, theres no reason that we couldn't get into the playoffs if we added a few more players. With the current team i think we'll be midtable however. |

| with the current injuries, (despite a fantastic back room staff players are still picking up injuries).....no strength in depth reserve wise,(whose going to cover for Hourihane when he gets his first red card) and a very weak left flank..how the hell can people say we are looking at a top ten finish..we are looking at a relegation season.... |

| John Sheridan is the only thing that gives me any hope. The Blackman (non?)signing makes me think the little black book of contacts has been worn out along with the budget. If grounds don't reach Brent's break even we could see any crown jewels being sold off come January. In any case if we are in with a shout come Janaury would Brent gamble on signings to help a promotion push? All to play for as they say on football phone ins constantly. |

| 18th. If optomism overwhelmes me and we have absolutely no injuries all season I'd upgrade to 17th.
Really hope I'm seriously underestimating JS and his far more proficient looking backroom staff.

| I think that we could challenge for the playoffs with a few more players, another Banton or bocoesque winger, a striker who can bang in twenty goals another decent left back, maybe some cover in central defence and another defensive central mid, then if the kids come good we should be fine, trouble is once the debts are paid we only have money for a couple of cast offs which Is why I think we will be about mid table again. |

wake up refers to you slill being asleep and DREAMING. Youre making yourself look like an idiot pal. Sheridans form when he took over would have led us to coming 8th over the course of a season, that was with a significantly weaker team as well. Dreaming am i? |

| Mid table all the way, unless he finds goals from somewhere. We appear solid at the back and pretty toothless up front. |

But the 'goal scorer' in that team is no longer in our line up. Whether Sheridan's present team is 'significantly stronger' is yet to be determined. |

| 10th-12th.
Play Offs if we can somehow find someone who can score 15+ goals.
I really like John Sheridan and given the form we had post February last season (Banton point taken) plus the fact that he's had a full pre-season should mean we progress from last season. |

| For me it will depend on how many goals Boco and Alessandra contribute because I can see Reid and Morgan causing defenders a lot of trouble without scoring too many themselves.
If Boco scores like he did for Accrington, 10 last season, and Alessandra chips in with a similar amount then I could see us doing better than my prediction of 13th.
If they prove as goal shy as Chadwick and Feeney then we're in for a long old slog again. |

| The general consensus on here is for a lower mid-table finish which seems about right. I don't think we're poor enough for relegation, or have the firepower for a promotion surge so I'm expecting a Pulis-like "binary football" season with lots of 0-0's and 1-0's. I'd go for 12th. |

| I've just had a conversation with a chap who's closer to the club than I am and he was certain that Sheridan was close to bringing another attacking player in. Whether that is a striker or goalscoring midfielder he wasn't sure. I think young Tyler Harvey could also be an ace up our sleeve, I'm going to be positive and predict we'll push for the playoffs.
Roll on Saturday, Best wishes, Asti. |

| 1st. Unbeaten all season, finishing with a record 128 points. Biggest victory will be 13-0 over them East D'bn, Slack-Jawed, Frog-Eyed, Dungaree wearing Hillbillie's from Excretia. ^ ^ ^ ^ Ok, the mushrooms are wearing off now. I'd wager on Argo finishing between 16th and 20th.
