Hopefully we will put on a better display than we have done in recent history on the box.

It has indeed gone to rats on TV recently-Dorchester,Stourbridge,Forest,Swansea should all have been on the Horror or Comedy channels, depending on your point of view.Saints was good though and there were some beauts in the CCC years-Leicester,Cardiff,Derby,Coventry etc all made great viewing.Hopefully the recent trend will be bucked against Pompey.Getting excited already-Docs on,Crombie out and knuckle dusters polished-bring it on-sweet revenge for 1983,which was literally a near death experience.

Ah those were the days, remember it well. I was just a cocky little teenager at the time and i've never forgotten being chased all around the lyndhurst for what seemed like an eternity before managing to get out of the ground just about in one piece, hope it doesn't happen again, i'm too old and fat to run. Can't remember the exact details but i think they brought about 8-10 thousand down, were they on the verge of winning the league or getting promoted ? football in the eighties, you had to love it, health and safety executive eat your heart out !!

I never did get my crash helmet back from the pitch-battle that ensued in the Lyndy.pirat

Interesting to see that Portsmouth appear to be on a few times but I can't remember us being on when we were relegated. Obviously they are a bigger fish then

I wonder if people will include Pompey when they're describing the likes of? Bury, Accrington Stanley, Argyle and Portsmouth?

Of course not, pompey are a big club. Even Lord Tisdale will make an exception for them.

Great imagine the dual embarrassment of a Forza Verde display and the hoolies out in force live on TV. Hope the later don't cost us more in an FA fine than the TV money.

Sky obviously have a hard on for Portsmouth.

Portsmouth won the cup the day my youngest daughter was born. I wanted to name her after the winning goalscorer but the Mrs was having none of it. Nwanko! Nwanko! Get down from there!

Yep, the Sky cameras are there for Pompey not for us. They're everyone's favourites (quite rightly as it happens) to shit all over this god forsaken division and seal the L2 championship by miles.

And of course the obligatory humiliating defeat we always suffer when on live TV.

Also meaning the loss of a possible three points.

Oh bollocks I hadn't thought about the Forza nerds doing a display, they'll probably construct a battleship and everyone will have blue cards for the sea and the battleship will be passed from side to side like it's sailing along the ocean waves.

In the mid 90's Pompey averaged well below 10k attendances.

As has oft been pointed out, Argyle do have the potential to be as big as clubs like Portsmouth, Norwich etc.

The lack of any top flight exposure and the resultant 'belief' in the club, is the defining factor.

Nah, now they are just another bunch of skint wankers, still, at least they have got a ground with a 20k capacity to console themselves for having to play nobodies like you lot.

Come on Tis we all told you that this day would come to pass, you are no longer our big match, evolution will see to that, never mind if Newton Armpit FC ever make it into the league then maybe you will get a Sky match, one day.Laughing

Last thing we would want, our record on Sky is probably the worst of any club, FFS, we couldn't even get a point from the Turks, at home.

Big it up as much as you like, we all know when your cup final is, Muff Pomp is just a sideshow.

Word is the away terrace, beloved of the couple of hundred of your boys that turned up for a recent game, is still in the road, afraid it will have to wait until the floodlights have been brought back up to the minimum required.

Our management is a fooking embarrassment, not as big an embarrassment as yours of course, but none the less a bunch of total cnuts who couldn't organise a pith up in the proverbial.

How embarrassingly tinpot.lol!  You should look up to your local egg-chasers for inspiration.

May well be the only time I see them this season.

Probably will only see the 2nd half anyway as I'll be at golf.

Meh.
