:lol!:The Australian cricket coach has been sacked just 15 or so days before the first Ashes test.

Unfortunately that probably improves their chances! lol!

Its a bit strange to make sweeping changes to the setup so close to an important test series. It can either prove to be a brilliant move or a disaster. Hopefully its the latter.

Darren Lehman taking over.

Was a bloody good batsman in his heyday, but probably not ideal before the ashes. Obviously thought they had no chance under Mickey Arthur so shoulda sacked him months ago.

Got to be pretty desperate to do this. Aussies in disarray, lump on England to thrash them while they're down.

Thought his days were numbered when he came out with the statement that Australia had the best bowling attack in the world.

Lehman will strengthen them, but the Aussies are due a hammering.

No sympathy here for him, good riddance seems to be the general view.

Very odd that they ever appointed a Saffer, given the depth of coaches and retired 'greats' they must have knocking about.

Lehmann might well be the best option for them, but it doesn't half seem rushed. Surely they've not interviewed anyone else? He won't be able to make crap techniques good techniques in time for the Ashes anyway...
