| Just to clarify, I have never been a supporter or member of the British National Party, I have met and exchanged emails with their leader Nick Griffin, but I have never joined, nor acted for that party. They are a sort of National Socialist Party if you observe their manifesto in depth, I disagree with their policies with regard education, immigration, justice, welfare and the economy, however I do credit them for speaking out with regard the dangers of Wahhabi Islam, and many parts of Sunni Islam, I still hold the belief these sections are a threat to the Nation in which we live.
I canvassed/campaigned with the Labour Party once, mainly due to parental pressure I have to say and the urgent desire to get something in my personal statement for my politics degree application. I realised what a bunch of absolute tits they were, did an interview for them that day, realised when I read it back all my words were twisted, and ever since I told them I'd have nothing more to do with them, they have trolled my social networking sites, screen shotting things from as far back as 4 years ago, I would have thought Labour's Plymouth candidate Luke Pollard would have better things to be doing.
After doing some reading/extensive research and making some contacts, I joined the Conservative Party and have been canvassing/campaigning with Oliver Colvile and the team for a few months, and have set up a Conservative society both across City College Plymouth and some of Plymouth university, this is a society of which I am President.
I am a Conservative member and activist, and a devout supporter, and I have no intention of that changing.

| Ask Mr Colville what he thinks of Chris Webb?
And you're full of shit Cobi, you were creaming your pants about how great it was canvassing with the Labour guy a few months ago and certainly weren't having your arm twisted. Same with all the bnp and edl stuff, you're just as fickle in your political views as you are with your argyle player opinions.
Luckily you're still a pup and have time to form your own stable opinions but try not airing your views every few days until you're certain about what you're twatting or posting. |

| To stress again, I've never been involved with the BNP, and especially not the EDL, a vile group.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]If you have any designs on a political career Cobi, you've already fecked it up with your anti-Islamic comments on Twitter, here, pasoti, Facebook (probably). |

| He didn't. He said it was a combination of the Luftwaffe, left wing politicians and planning people. He raised a whopping £800 for the BNP when he was here too. With Tommy Robinson leaving the EDL and the BNP becoming a non-entity, they're loaing their voice. Hopefully, a non-racist, radical alternative will fill the vacuum. |

I think an apology is in order............. Sorry Jock, he obviously is a complete tw@ and I shouldn't have chewed you out for being an obnoxious donkey dick sucking sweaty. Cobi, "devout" is a term generally reserved for religious nut bags, not dip shit kids who can't see what a bunch of users and wasters the Tories are. ps. This doesn't of course mean that the Tories are actually worse than than Poo Labour or the snivelling Lib Dims. I 4-1 actually joined UKIP on the off chance that they were summat different, no such luck I'm afraid, even with England in line to win the WC we is genuinely fooked for someone to vote for. |

Thanks LT. I don't start on people for no reason and as you can see for yourself Cobi is a tad confused about which direction he wants to take in life so he is currently strolling along Bellend Avenue. |

- Hi.
Just spotted this thread so I thought I'd comment, for Jocks sake.
I have been a Labour party member for nearly a year now, I joined them when I stood for youth parliament. I haven't always supported the Labour Party in full but never cancelled my membership, in fact I did sway to the Tories as Sam has stated. (however I must stress, I've never been a member off, or had any connection to the Tories, UKIP or certainly, the British National Party).
On saturday afternoon, Luke Pollard (Labour candidate in a 2 way race with Chaz Singh to be Plymouth Sutton and Devonport MP in 2015) knocked on my door and we had a good chat about what the Labour Party is up to in and around the city and he persuaded me to do some work with him and other members/activists including Alison Seabeck. Therefore I set up a new twitter account mainly to back the #selectluke campaign.
At the end of June there is a by election in Southway after a Conservative councillor was deemed to have resigned after failing to attend meetings for 6 months. Labour currently control 2 of the 3 Southway seats, and a victory on the 27th will mean the party controls all 3 seats. I'll be out canvassing/campaigning with Luke Pollard and others on Saturday morning in Southway to drum up some support, so UKIP and the Tories are completely thrashed. Our candidate is Jonny Morris.
This is my first active involvement in politics so I'm really looking forward to it.
Prepared to answer any questions
(oh and if anybody would like to submit a postal vote for the Labour Party in Southway, get in touch )
Cobi It's lovely to see yourself proved completely correct |

Come back to me in a few years and see if I've changed. I campaigned with Labour once, I have campaigned with the Conservatives probably 30 times or more, I'm a youth coordinator, and president of city college (merging with Plymouth Uni) Conservatives. |

| This all reminds me of the lad in Life Of Pi. (What was his name again?)
He can't decide whether he's Christian, Muslim or Hindu and because he likes bits of what all of them say he decides that he'll just celebrate them all equally.
It's a pity that more, if they feel the need to pin their beliefs to any religious system, don't do that actually.
It makes more sense in the book. |
