| A follow up, received this from The Friends Your Help Needed!
Thank you for registering with Friends of Central Park. We are unable to answer everyone's email personally but will contact you shortly....
Our intention is to mount a Plymouth wide campaign against the James Brent development at Home Park. We are pleased that James Brent intends to build a new bigger and better grandstand for Plymouth Argyle and also develop the land within the existing Home Park boundary.
BUT we strongly oppose:
• the planned building of a seven-storey hotel on land leased from Plymouth City Council at the rear of the stadium which at present is parkland
• the construction of a two-lane road coming into the centre of Central Park to access a 400 space car park at the rear of the development.
We are having the legal issues surrounding this development investigated.
The planning application (No. 13/00942/FUL) was submitted to Plymouth City Council yesterday. When we have studied it, we will send out information on how to object to it.
To have any chance of successfully fighting this development we need huge public support.
We need people to:
• Write to the Planning Department to object
• Deliver leaflets
• Write letters/articles to The Herald
• Tell as many people as possible
If you can help in any way please email us or
COME TO OUR NEXT MEETING ON TUESDAY 11 JUNE AT 7:30PM AT THE CHERRY TREE PUB: 291 Ham Dr, Plymouth, Devon PL2 3NH
We NEED your input, support and any ideas you have to help! Just email us |

| Didn't the fat controller and his puppets laugh when the suggestion was made the hotel would be seven stories?

| Is there anyone (Damon) who visits the farm could discreetly put the friends contact on the farm site, or their call to arms. |

He did indeed and his fellow corrupt mod Ponty stated, "say it enough and they will believe it". As I have said before, show me an idiot that believes that mob because I have a ton of crap to sell so I am looking for a half wit. |

| I'm surprised that submission of the planning application hasn't been trumpeted by the usual suspects who gush and promote every move that James Brent makes. They usually know about things before everyone else yet not a dickie bird from the p(r)oxy associate director or the 2nd worse living President.

| Seriously, though. Isn't it great? Nobody who asked any questions during the so-called consultation period - whether through the Farm, at the Theatre Royal, via the Akkeron site or directly to the club - has had any answers, but the planning application's been submitted anyway. If nothing else, this just goes to show the level of contempt those in positions of power at HP have for the supporters who are their customers. Not to mention the level of contempt those plans show for the people of Plymouth and its biggest park. Up to now, the strategy's been to eliminate the educated wankers and anybody else who might speak out of turn. It might have worked to some extent, but strategies should be long term as well as short term, and what they've actually created is a sizeable group of us with nothing to lose in fighting these plans tooth and nail. Bring it on |

| Aww.
It's so sweet that in these times, these times of war being declared, underhand tactics and downright dastardliness, within this keen spirited rebel alliance made up of junkies, smugglers and downright weirdo's, a young love's romance can still flourish.
For the Cherry Tree, see the backwaters of Tattooine.
For Han Solo, see Han Solo's Other Ship.
For Princess Leia, see TGWU.
For Giraffe Vader, see Tony_Cholwell.
For Luke, see Peggy.
I think that's how it went.
Heartwarming. |

Apart from the cramming session of buildings, it's the road that will strangle the whole deal I think - it's just absurd!! So no fanfares, somethings up!! |
