Make no mistake there is a nationwide land grab going on behind the scenes.
Here's just one link and just who do you think is at the centre of wanting to build on a Nottingham park ? why the local college ... who'd have thought it. Maybe Brent doesn't see the point of wasting money building a bigger stand because he thinks the club won't be in the park for very much longer.

Nottingham Land grabbers

And then look at what happened at York and Oxford. Look underneath what is happening in the Bradford park.

Has a ex Labour supporter (member) and a retire union rep I would not trust Mr Evans one bit in him keeping his word on not building on any green land in the park.

So if PAFC does manage to outgrow Home Park and move elsewhere, what will happen to the stadium. PCC would lose the rent from the football club, would gain nothing financially by turning the area back to grass. How about developing a supermarket on the land.

trouble with that story is, in reality we have a very greedy city council who steal ideas, close existing facilities and make a mint from the outcome. example : local food cooperative, part funded by the council has its funding with drawn after 10 years of setting up. low and behold, a new local food coop (totally funded by and run by the council appears), outcome: existing council employees that have absolutely no interest or ability are placed in a new jobs, whilst still doing their old ones. the people from the original coop? on the dole

I think that concept is just a desperate attempt to pacify the huge numbers voicing an opinion against this mugging and even there was half a grain of truth in it Brent will be long gone by then, he is on record as saying so.

I really don't look over there that often but it looks like our favourite Directors' box incumbent has finally started to twig, not that it will change his allegiance, I doubt.
He now knows the education ruse is being used elsewhere. Welcome to the REAL new world order of prime land, "education", and property. I wonder if he might now actually ask himself why education people were put on the Board of PAFC ? Why ?

Property developers, and connected boys are trying to fill their boots over the new education free-for-all grab. It's the NHS PFI all over again, although this one is Tory inspired as opposed to the Blair inspired NHS PFI disaster. What he's blindly supporting up at Higher Home Park is just another paint by numbers property change of use clean up routine, that leaves the club boxed in, the city short of previously owned parkland, and a property uplift value to die for. And he's fallen for it. It didn't have to be this way, it doesn't have to be this way.

It's going on everywhere. look at the original post link. The education/community ruse that was hinted at by Ridsdale a long time ago is the latest property development template of choice tagged on to the ice rink and hotel that the council always wanted. That school and that cinema are just out of order.
