As the players wing their way to the beaches of Marbella thoughts turn to next season's budget.

I have heard our budget this season ended up around £2 million. Best guestimate is that JB has put in around £1.25 million 'loans' to prop up the club and said these loans will not be available next season. Doesn't leave much. I expect another round of redundancies at the Club (no 'inside info' on that, just educated guess). I expect a playing budget cut by at least 25%. Thought we were going to scrape in this season - my big worry is next season.

Some questions there for the PASB, don't you think, Damon?

What are the chances of getting replies?

And when is the next Pasb/PAFC meeting to discuss matters such at these?

It'll be utter chaos at Home Park when the dozers move in in September. Skeletons buried underneath the ice rink is my guess.

No. The Dagenham & Redbridges and AFC Dons of this world operate with around 6 full time staff. We are operating with between 30 and 40. Expect a call for 'volunteers'.

The next PASB/Board meeting is the first weekend in June.

I'd recommend that perhaps we don't use 40 players next season.

The two years we smashed the leagues I swear we used not much more than 20 players in each, and some of those were Kevin Wills, Joe Broad types on no money anyway.

Yeah, wouldn't be the biggest surprise actually. Brent really does have no shame.

Shome mishtake shurely. Don't we have 200 staff or at least we did when justifying the last lot of redundancies.

I expect we'll see a very young team with maybe a couple of experienced hands in the mix.

If Brent isn't going to be propping the club up then the wage budget will be slashed and the transfer budget will be non existant.

Another season of misery on the way with a couple of loan signings thrown into the mix.

I just hope i'm wrong.
