| Surely even the most diehard heads in the sand supporters must realise that virtually the entire squad needs to be axed......?? Keep Cole Harvey Houra and Baz (if not sold) but completely offload the rest....?? |

All this tosh about him just being here for the property, he had the balls to change things and make a difference
Sheridan an inspired choice IMHO

| How can you have big respect to an owner who left it until January to replace an underperforming manager.Fletcher should have been sacked after our FA Cup defeat.Argyle got lucky. |

| Fletcher was never management material. He's not very bright, can't communicate and has no spark.
Brent is not interested in the football. Going by his chosen 'friends' , he must think all football people are morons to be humoured, given silly hats n titles while he gets on with his real business interests. If he gets to build the boxed in mini stand, he'll walk, leaving the club to his jamboys and their sponsors.
The club will be village, for generations. |

| Big summer coming up which will really establish Mr Brent's credentials as far as the football side is concerned. If Sheridan or any other decent manager is appointed and given some scope to build a good squad, then maybe i'll believe that he does mean business in getting the club back up the leagues. If Sheridan goes and a cheap rookie is brought in a la Fletcher, with signings of similar dismal quality as last year, then it will be time to shout for Mr Brent's head.Faith has already been sorely tested with the grandstand proposals, end of tethers are fast being reached. |

Spot on. If the rumours are correct and Sheridan is off we'll need a good management team in ASAP to give them time to build a squad. If that doesn't happen and wotton is caretaker then we'll really know Brent's ambition. I'd bet Nool and Webb would still say it's an inspired appointment and wouldn't mind the conference rejects we would have to sign. By June we should know what the score is. |

| Hey, argyl3, what price Brent's vision of a community/fan friendly football club if he were to invite the man who wanted to put up electric fences to keep the plebs under control. |

| From what I can see Brent vision is potential budget cuts, redundancies, mid to bottom table mediocrity. Ken Bates may and probably will bring us some investment to get us back up the league.. But hey ho we can have poor football and a nice cinema ice ring and hot3l? Are we a football club or pension fund investment? we should not be bottom league 2 simple. |

| If we have any hope of getting out of this league and getting back to where we used to be then Brent should go for it next season.
Surely investing in the team and creating a successful winning team will bring more fans back through the gates, more money and more punters for his new shops he'll be building next season. |

| Hey, argyl3, do you think Kenny would buy back the stadium from PCC at the already agreed formula ? Love the "mid to bottom table mediocrity" thing. That's twice now.... sounds like a line. No threat of doom, but plenty of room for improvement. Good luck. |

| Personally I would say Kenny would build a new stadium away from home park, the covenants and access issues that will arise..
Anyways let's ask. Anyone happy at watching league two football when we could get to and have been in the championship? |

| Well there you go argyl13. Move the footie to Derriford, or some Langage farm or other, even Sherford, and let the college take over the park. Sounds like another wet dream of a property developer..... leave something for future generations and all that. ... you're all heart... god bless you. |

| I find it ironic that the biggest supporters of Brent's plan for the grandstand are effectively putting into motion the first act of moving PAFC out of Home Park.
Should we ever reach reach 'the championship' again - and surely that is possible - then Brent has signaled his intention to sell to someone who can take the club forward.
Whoever that someone is, will have the belief they can get Argyle to the Premiership, and the riches it brings.
To reap those riches fully, they will need a bigger stadium/development project - property development again!
They will move PAFC to achieve this.

Given the changes in TV money and its distribution I'm not so sure that getting to the Championship again is at all realistic for the forseeable future. |

We wont be on tele at all due to being in this league (maybe once if we are lucky) but if BT Sports buy the rights that might change mind. just think if itv digital didnt fold we could have had our grandstand by now |

| Relief, relief, relief as the non investing ex banker said after the game and I would agree, anyone who has the slightest interest in PAFC would and should feel that. But all I would say is Ken get on the phone tonight - please! |

| To give Mr Brent his Dues, he has done enough to keep us in the League. Finance wise he has loaned the club money to keep us in the league period. And for that he should be contratulated. He got in John Sheridan to save the ship (On Neil Warnock's advise?)
To move forward however it will require more than the bare minimum of investment both on and off the pitch. Lets be realistic, after Administration PAFC is a shell of what it was formerly and will require investment to get it back to where it was.
The bear minimum again, or heaven forbid, Cutting the playing budget for the forthcoming season is not the way forward for getting this club back to where it should be. And sadly if that is the case, then outside investment be it via Ken Bates, Uri Geller or some other sugar daddy is going to be the way forward.
HHP Development will not leave enough space for PAFC to grow, period. and to be truthful should the club reach anything near the promised land where expansion is needed, the cheaper option maybe to relocate to a totally new stadium complex.
I have said before, this HHP Development is exactly the same as what Firoz Kassam did to Oxford United when he built them a new 3 sided stadium. That is now surrounded by cinemas, bowling, hotels, They cannot go forward as they are being priced out by Stadium rent. They are boxed in by other developments. indeed if they were to complete the forth side of their stadium they would actually loose almost 50% of their existing carparking spaces. Something which will more than likely be blocked by the local council due to planning reasons about ratios of parking to developments.
I have been in Oxford for 11 yrs and seen this all play out and can quite eaisly see Exactly the same thing happening to Argyle.
Firoz Kassam - Bought OUFC Cheap, built them a stadium, surrounded it with Development, Property developer, restricting their growth.
James Brent - Bought Argyle Cheap, finishing off the stadium surrounding it with development, Property Developer, (possibly) restricting future growth
Parallels?
Guys I have seen it all happen uup here, and it will happen down there. Unless this is done right, League 2 is where we will be for the forseable future.. and that is something I do not want.

| I always had a hoot at the stadium at Reading gate. What a mess. The only difference in the generic hotel/stadium/retail blux there .....it was all built on scrub land in the middle of nowhere... it certainly wasn't prime parkland. What's Kennyboy's vision then a3 ? is he going to save the club and city from pestilence ? what happens to Central Park in Kennyland a3 ? |
