When oh when will people 'get it', that building it well, with the ability to expand further, is the key to attracting potential fans to 'believe'. I thought Sam was 'getting it' No

There are a lot of people mentioning clubs like Swansea, Brighton, Reading and Hull City.

This development will NOT prevent Argyle doing what any of them did, if and when the time comes for a larger stadium.

Problem is, it may prevent us from ever having the opportunity.

I think what LC is indicating is that we could still move grounds. That much is true enough to be fair.

Tring,

I absolutely get it. All I'm saying is that if we lose in the fight to get a better stand, if the ministand gets built then in theory we COULD 20 years down the line if we get a football-ambitious owner move grounds. That's all. It doesn't make me any less against a 17,000 capped capacity but if it is what we're lumbered with then there MAY be hope for the future (but not under Brent).

Moving grounds to the lee mill area will not work that is south hams land, they are the most anal of councils when it comes to planning applications.

I tried to build poly tunnels on farm land which no one could see from any houses or any local roads but I got told to f off because it did not fit in with the local plans plus some crap about over developing land. What a load of shiyte the nearest buildings were over a mile away.

so lets forget about moving the ground if I got told to do one they will not allow pafc to build a football stadium.

I hear what you're saying but Derriford isn't the South Hams.

To clarify, I'm only debating the theoretical feasibility of it. I want us to build it well now with the ability to expand.

Sam,

My point was that a well finished stadium , with the ability to expand, can kick start the all important 'belief' from those not already addicted, as it has done at Swansea, Reading, Hull, Brighton etc. Brent's plan does nothing to inspire non Argyle people and offers no statement of intent.

Argyl has about 6k base support at home. Another few thousand floaters and exiles. Another thousand or two hooked, like myself but can no longer be arsed to turn up to a club going nowhere fast. Most importantly, there are imo, anything from 5 to 10k people in the region who might be interested if the club makes a real statement of intent and gets on a roll.
