| Omitting London and Birmingham clubs (they are to close to make a fair comparison) this is the league table for stadium size per head of local population according to the 2011 Census (mostly) leaving PAFC in 61st position and based on a 17,000 capacity.
Considering that PAFC has the largest "potential" catchment area in the country it makes tearful reading made even worse with both Torquay and Exeter having larger stadiums per head.
It can be nitpicked but by and large it provides a reasonable and accurate topic for debate.
1 Tranmere Rovers 2 Bradford City 3 Wigan Athletic 4 Burnley 5 Manchester United 6 Blackburn Rovers 7 Bury 8 Middlesbrough 9 Yeovil Town 10 Ipswich Town 11 Stoke City 12 Preston North End 13 Norwich City 14 Nottingham Forest 15 Liverpool 16 Newcastle United 17 Watford 18 Manchester City 19 Fleetwood Town 20 Burton Albion 21 Sunderland 22 Carlisle United 24 Huddersfield Town 25 Milton Keynes Dons 26 Port Vale 27 Crewe Alexandra 28 Accrington Stanley 29 Notts County 30 Shrewsbury Town 31 Southampton 32 Chesterfield 33 Derby County 34 Aldershot Town 35 Scunthorpe United 36 Blackpool 37 Doncaster Rovers 38 Barnsley 39 Brighton & Hove Albion 40 Rochdale 41 Coventry City 42 Leicester City 43 Reading 44 Oldham Athletic 45 Rotherham United 46 Bolton Wanderers 47 Bristol City 48 Hull City 49 Portsmouth 50 Torquay United 51 Oxford United 52 Hartlepool United 53 Swansea City 54 Peterborough United 55 Stevenage 56 Cardiff City 57 Swindon Town 58 Exeter City 59 Sheffield Wednesday 60 Southend United 61 Plymouth Argyle 62 Cheltenham Town 63 Sheffield United 64 Bournemouth 65 Colchester United 66 Crawley Town 67 Bristol Rovers 68 Leeds United 69 York City 70 Northampton Town

| bloody ages and a long spread sheet!
Interesting stuff though, amazed to see Tranmere at the top, they pretty much offer everyone that lives in Tranmere a seat in the stadium if they want it. |

| Yup, Andy will get it. There's a few more interesting things to add yet but it'll be making its way across to Andy and a few others. |

| Keep it close GOB, the dogs of war will be after it.
Trouble is a lot of them would be satisfied with 61st place. |

Trouble is a lot of them would be satisfied with 61st place. 61st? They'd see it as a triumph that we're not 92nd! |

| Barring Leeds, the only other two clubs of a respectable size around us share the same city.
I wouldn't compare us to either Lids or the Sheffield clubs, but neither would I compare us to Colchester or Cheltnum... |

| For Cities with two clubs I halved the population figure so that each club was compared equally, ie Liverpool and Everton, Man U and Man City and Sheff Wed and United.
When Bristol Rovers eventually move on to a bigger stadium as they hope and, Leeds make the same move as they hope, we'll sink even lower down that table. |

| Out of interest GOB, where would we sit in the table with the sought after 20k capacity ? |

| Amazing really considering Peter Jones and others convinced PCC that they simply must buy back the stadium so that under Brent's vision Plymouth can one day boast a football club befitting of a sleeping behemoth of a regenerating metropolis. |

| Is anybody else concerned that Gob's spent most of the weekend on this when he could have been fiddling with his carbs? That's dedication, that is |

i would like to think the AFT have a few aces up their sleeves Where does this come from? They haven't even submitted a planning application yet, and they take a couple of months at least to go through. |

| Northampton Town plan to double the size of their capacity, meanwhile PAFC will be lowering its capacity.
