PostSubject: Re: My Take On Mr Brent & His Plans   My Take On Mr Brent & His Plans - Page 13 EmptySun Apr 07, 2013 8:35 pm

I have no idea who X-Isle is particularly Jock and these days I don't much bother to look at pasoti at all. It no longer seems to be the site to find out things so for me holds little interest. That includes the characters on it. It isn't really X-Isle that I was sticking up for but more using him to make the point out the dismissive attitude to anyone who has an opinion that runs against the mainstream of a site. Everyone forms an opinion of their own. It may be swayed by others and it may even be changed by a persuasive argument put forward by somebody else. Even events may go to disprove what somebody thought originally.

If a site is truly to be for all people then it should be free of patronising put downs when somebody ventures to join in a debate. The main complaint from this site is that pasoti is controlling and only a certain few control it. But I'd seriously ask again what the difference is on ATD. You don't get posts deleted generally speaking is about it. This site is mostly on the negative side of Argyle life even if you discount the massive amount of anti rhetoric against individuals who are seen as a blight on the club. Not everyone sees everything as a negative but anyone who might disagree with the tone is systematically put down by mainly a few. It is, whether you like it or not, like a pack mentality. That's the alternative to explaining the stance being taken and persuading the other that their view is wrong or flawed. The bottom line being however that the poster is still entitled to the opinion they form and calling them dickheads or idiots is hardly going to encourage people to join in anything is it. What the site becomes is a one argument pony with no room for the alternative. In other words boring.

There are plenty of things I don't like about Argyle at times. There are plenty of things I don't trust about Brent. There are quite a few I'd like to see happen. But I don't disagree with every single thing that either the Club or Brent does and there must be many people out there who are much the same. Not much point in joining in though if the above happens everytime either on pasoti or here.

Punchdrunk, he is an individual not a multiple. He doesn't join in with a band of others does he. There are those on here who jump on a bandwagon when it comes to putting a boot in and patronising a poster deemed fit to belittle. This is the very thing that people on here have a pop at pasoti for when doing it themselves. That's a pack mentality when others join in. If somebody bothers to sit down and give their honest opinion of something, do you think it's right to just dismiss their offering with a one liner that just says "idiot"? What happened to the word debate. If you don't agree and think it's stupid then say it's stupid but also offer a reason why you think it is. That goes for everyone including hairyj in my view.

And whilst typing this SS68 pops up to prove my point.

As long as people remain within the rules,it is what it is....... a spit and sawdust forum about a club that is currently shit and bottom of the 4th division, i aint going to blab on about Durrel Berry,Jake Cole or playing Accrington away or Burton at home because for me there is no point,a non starter ,it remains utterly dire and will probably get worse all the while the speccy banker and arselicking entourage on remain in place.
Expressing disdain at the people who back this odious regime is in my book addressing the key issues behind the utter crap that we currently see on the pitch and the likes of SS68 and Freathy can probably sum up in a sentence what Greensam (bless him) takes a page to.
Like i said before its a football club forum not the flipping house of commons,
so many people have been fecked over by Pasoti and the gang and for me ATD is a reflection of this.

Sympathy with both points of view tbh

I do not and have not put anyone down with a one liner that says "idiot" or any other one word answer. I get accused of being boring so I can't do one liners it has to be an essay if you remember. I put my view on something, maybe strongly perhaps but not as you intimate. What my son does is up to him. I don't have to even agree with him or his responses to others. I certainly don't join in with him and you can search it all out to prove that wrong if you can be bothered.

I had a beef with you SS68 for the comment you made about my mother at a time when it was all a bit raw for me as is recorded in history now. Since then I have not made any reference to it and not had any argument with you that I recall. Basically I have moved on. Clearly you haven't.

The dichotomy a great many long standing Argyle fans must be experiencing right now , is on the one hand a deep rooted emotional attachment to the club and on the other a complete abhorrence of the people and methods used in running the club and thought controlling the potential fanbase.

QUESTIONS from supporters regarding the plans for a new grandstand at Home Park have been gathered in by the club, the PASBoard and PASOTI.

Well this should be interesting lol not really they are both in the pocket of the club so bound to not ask any serious questions.

how is the trust lead group coming along?

""These have been collated and forwarded to owner James Brent, and Akkeron Regeneration and its professional advisers, who will now go through the queries""

What they really mean is that anything that involves making the stand bigger will be talked around or thrown in the bin.
I hope the Trust will act like a coiled spring WHEN JB/Akkeron fail to answer the questions satisfactorily.

So they couldn't send Akkeron a copy, they had to send the original. Very Happy

They need the room for the self promotion threads anyway.

X Isle the unofficial spokesman for HHP is at it again saying that if the speccy banker dismisses the working group,s plans we should just drop it and let Brent crack on with his micro-stand.
How very predictable

Anyone else notice that Xwank and that cum-guzzling spunk-trumpet on here, Lord Tiswas (AKA Poultice from Exewank) articulate in a very, very similar fashion? Just saying! pig

If he dismisses the working group it will be suicide for Brent and his plans as the war would have just begun then.

Isnt it sad that Leyton Orient's away end is bigger than the new main stand Sad

I would rather brent did with the Mayflower what Barnsley have done with a similar stand at Oakwell until someone comes along who will do the job properly.

The lower echelons of the football league and conference is littered with clubs who will have bigger main stands then the proposed micro-stand

So Exeter are going to finish above us this season and they have far more informed, incisive and eloquent posters. What on earth is the world coming to? It's turned upside down!

they seem to care more about our club more than the likes of smithy who seems hell bent on seeing it being destroyed by this stand development.
