| Do you think that people stand for election in order to gain power, to boost their ego, to serve their electorate's wishes or what, nosey? |

| I was talking ATD. Perhaps I should have given you time to prepare your candidacy speech.
And, seriously, assuming you obtain the correct number of posts to enable you to stand (I'll go and check) maybe you should stand. The trouble is, you only come on here to be abused like a pathologically battered spouse, it is hardly convincing. As much as it's far, far too easy to provoke a response on here that is hardly an achievement! |

| PS You have many more than enough posts to stand. |

| So what happens at election time? Do all the mods stand down and stand again if they wish to along with any others that throw their hats in the ring. Is there snooperesque electioneering and hustings? Do we stay up into the we small hours with David Dimbleby? |

I think it's Charlie, Chemical & I who will go first. Then mouldy, mock & yeaman follow a month or so after. We are free to stand again (punchie & suffered have already pm-ed me begging that I do so) for a period of up to three elections. We mods are planning a coup during which we will promise to hold open and democratic elections as soon as possible. It's already been planned for a time when we know that Frank will be changing nappies and pete will be having an afternoon nap (they are the keyholders who protect the integrity of the site's constitution). Then we sit back and gather in all the money. Easy. |

You have to register all your children so they can vote for you just like the PASB. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! You have to register all your children so they can vote for you just like the PASB. OK my religion allows me 6 wives and I already have 14 children - we all share the same IP address. |

| Ah, brings back memories of the Great Moderator Putsch of July 2012...basically, I dressed my followers in braan uniforms an sent 'em raind the opposition's forums ter bosh up the difficult locals; it wasn't a coup d'etat exactly though, more of a populist people revolution, backed by the masses after my role as a freedom fighter against the previous, nefarious regime. |
