| Why can't you enjoy football and rugby? My in laws hate football and just spoil it with their moaning, you can't compare them they are so different. England giving the Scots a good seeing to, lovely warm up game for us, are France at home to the Italians tomorrow? |

| Irish looked alright, tough trip next week.
Italians have been dangerous in Rome for a few years now. Only a matter of time until they catch England cold too.
lulz at wales, always. |

| Good to see the Italians come on strong, they have been struggling to put a decent side together because all the yoof want to play football, it could turn into a proper six team comp now, if the Scots. sort themselves out. |

| Easily the best opening week end I can recall, all six teams seemed intent on trying to play rugby wot as how it should be played.
Not sure too much can be read from the Shaggers vs Paddies game except that the Green'uns must now be installed as favourites at least until 5 o'clock Sunday. The Sweats can be discounted as they managed little beyond the two tries which were huge defensive mistakes. My new official dark horses are the Eyeties and could even take on the fav mantle when they batter the Sweats Saturday depending on the other results, could the Wop vs Bog Dwellers game in Rome actually decide the whole thing ?
Always difficult to call as anyone can beat anyone on their day, 'cept the Sweaties of course who could easily finish up with the dreaded nil point, and obviously the Kermits have all the firepower they need to win the other four, but England did look a very polished and professional outfit with visits to just the Oirish and the Shaggers to come we must have a chance as long as we survive the first twenty minutes in Dublin. |

Dunno about that, I don't like all the hoofing that goes on in the modern game, I am old fashioned, get the forwards making thumping tackles, taking thumping tackles, soften up the forwards until the gaps open and run in a try. I just don't see the point in giving away possession that you fight so hard for? Sometimes it seems like no one wants the bleddy ball, it was a bleddy good weekend though. |

| Say what you like about the continentals, if the product is shit or simply just not to their standards, then they will vote with their feet. |

| Another good weekend of rugby entertainment arrives, at least it takes the mind of bloody Argyle's exploits. |

| Well that was a strange old week end, the Sweaties must have had an infusion of Kiwi blood, the Wops left their game on the bus, the French the same, get a bet on now that they will bring their A game and more for us, the Shaggers still in it despite being the living scum of the earth and England sailing past a lack lustre Bog storm even though the Kermit ref couldn't have done much more for them if he had donned a green shirt.
Can't watch the post match cos Inverdale and Guscott do my 'ead in. |

| Le Crunch looks helluva lot tighter now the Frogs appear to have picked their best side, plus England have so many players out of their natural positions to seemingly even it up a bit. Could be a terrible game, no doubt very tight, hopefully it being at Twickers should be an advantage...we've beaten them 5/6 apparently which might give us a mental edge too...just depends which France rock up, the pack looks pretty dynamite, not surprised to see Hartley return even if he is a bit of a liability. Not sure I rate Bastereaud, anyone who loves a tackle like Barritt should be able to line the lump up, but Fofana is rapid as fook so will be dangerous with Tuilagi's unsubtle positioning.
Would love for Italy to scalp Wales, not sure how good the replacement for Parisse will be but he's a big loss for them. Scotland have a decent shot at the Irish too, scoring a lot of tries so far and I'm not sure I rate Ireland too highly at the moment. |

Yep, make you right, I don't get playing Wood out of position then slipping Courtney into his slot, I know the Frogs have signalled that they intend to bully but there should be enough in our pack to front up, if there isn't then wtf are they doing there ? I like the idea of a bit of a missile at open side and moving the ball away from the bulky Frogs, it seems Lancaster differs with that view and fancies a punch up, he may well be right and should we show better discipline we have the guy to make them pay. Be interesting to see if the Italians can recapture their form from three weeks ago. |

| Wood at 8, Lawes at 6, even Robshaw isn't exactly a natural fetcher at 7 which makes the entire back row out of position not to mention Brown on the wing. I don't see the point in bringing in Lawes assumingly for physicality, only to drop the most physically imposing back rower in there in order to do that. Lancaster has been generally good with his selections so far and has credit in the bank, but it's a little peculiar this time around. |

| Awful game that hinged on some terrible refereeing decisions which for once went our way. The back row issue raised previously had much to do with it, far better once Haskell came on and started doing the job properly.
On the question of shiite refs Wayne Barnes is doing his usual crap job at Murrayfield in a proper game, none of that Nancy Boy running around just plenty of grunt, exactly how I like it.
The Wops reverted to type allowing the Shaggers an easy win, they are going to be a bitch to beat down at Cardiff in the death. |

| Thumped.
Not enough grit in the pack, the backs had no chance really although still managed to butcher what should be simple enough opportunities.
Absolutely mullered at the breakdown and in the scrum. I'm not sure I get Croft. Brings nothing in the tight, which against the Welsh backrow isn't really enough. Scrum looks dire without Corbisiero, all tournament it's been shaky. Vunipola one of a few players who looked decent when he came on.
A poor day against a Welsh side I still struggle to rate that highly. I'm worried the Lions halfbacks might be Biggar and Phillips.
Trying to work out a Lions XV from this tournament will be tough. I hope Gatland doesn't go too Welsh on the back of today. |
