| Can't wait for Freathy to see this....! What are they going to do with all those hats?
In all seriousness given our situation I can see why both sides took a one year gamble on this. We gave him the chance, he gave his best and it didn't work out.

| A gamble that didn't pay off, good luck to him. Now get rid of chadders and buy this experienced striker. |

| It was like putting 50 quid on a three legged horse in the Grand National, if it had come off we would have won a fortune but the odds were incredible.
I hope the guy can get his old job back. |

Well done Jonnie Shez. |

| It doesn't take a genious to predict that a 32 year old who's never before trained to the level of a pro footballer and never played league football isn't going to work out. Didn't clueless ever stop to think why so many clubs looked at this player yet no-one took a serious punt? |

| Having seen him play, his brain was up to it but his body obviously wasn't. It's a shame we couldn't have signed him six years ago. He joins a very long list of players who didn't really hit it off down here. Nevermind. |

| Unless he can get his old job back I doubt he'll be leaving until the summer. There is unlikely to be another club that'll take him on with any sort of decent salary. I reckon he'll wait till the end of the season and go back to the LoW.
We'll have to wait to the end of the season before Chadwick departs as well. He's banned for another 5 matches, which is more than 1/4 of whats left of the season, so I can't see anyone taking him on either. |

He'll see his contract out as he surely wouldn't have taken a pay cut at his age to start a career in league football. You can't blame him for that if he does. |

They actually bought them as protection against Warren Feeney's attempts on goal. They could paint them flesh colour and wear them in honour of Guy "Helmet Head" Branston. |

| Good luck to Griffiths, it might be worth him being around as back up until the end of the season, I can't see any other club taking him, if him and Chadders are going to be sat on their arses we may as well pay them off now though. |

Yep, I'd say his feet were up to it too and could even have compromised for his body if Fletcher had given him the same opportunities that he gave Chadwick (constant forgiveness for dire performances game after game). Ah well, disappointing but it just didn't work out. I think he'll be sucessful if he signs for a BSP club. |

| Think I read when he signed that they were keeping his job open for him, hope so. Cheers for Trying Griff but it just didn't work out.

| Excellent decison from Shezza, the non productive dead wood is gradually being cleared out.Summer could be a very interesting time whether Argyle stay in the football league or not,i would think that the departure of Lennox and Griffiths is just a prelude to a huge clear out and rebuilding process.Good luck to Rhys Griffiths but it was a daft signing really,he was always going to struggle to come to terms with pro football at his age, symbolic of how low our standrds have dropped in recent times. |

| I'd certainly agree with the line 'if Griffiths had been given the same sort of patience Chadwick was given'.
I only saw Griffiths properly once - his first game when he came on as a sub and scored. He looked very good indeed. He took his goal clinically. He brought other people into the game. He threatened the box. He found space. It may be as has been suggested that at his age he was unable to make the transition. We'll never know.
He gave it a go. He probably left it too late to try as a full-time pro. If you never try you never fail or succeed. Good for him for giving it a go. Fletcher should take the responsibility for the 'failure' more than Griffiths, in my opinion. He was the victim of some strange tactical decisions & selections. But at least Griffiths can tell his grand-children that he played as a pro & scored.
I believe when he signed for us he had negotiated a leave of absence from the Fire Service in Wales. I can't see another league club coming in for him but at least he has a job to go back to. |

| The big man tried and did look superb in his first game. I guess as suggested above his body wasn't up to the rigeurs of professional football.
As well as playing he did coaching with the youth team.
Good luck to him in the future. |

| He was indeed either very good or very bad. Chadwick on the other hand is consistently bad so I'd suspect he'll be off too. |

| Sad that we never got to see a decent finisher play off him. Hopefully he gets his old job back. |

| If he came here a few years ago we might have had a gem on our hands but he didnt he came here in the twilight years of his career and it hasnt worked for him or us. I am sure a Welsh prem team will try and take him on loan till end of the season with a view to offering him a contract in the summer.
