| There's some interesting names being bandied about, with most having the experience that we are so desperate for.
Obviously, there's no point in looking at who the board's first, second and third choices are.
In recent Argyle style we will surely get the fourth choice, or no one at all.
I just hope they get it done soon, with the right man, so that he has chance to use this registration window. |

| One who theHerald seem to confirm is on the short list is PHil Brown. Did well at Hull but has been poor at every other club. Is a character though. |

| Other then Keith Hill, the rest of that list is the usual bunch I'd expect to see and wouldn't want. I'm beginning to think Sextone alone will be making the decision, could you trust the rest of them? |

| Whoever it is he will have to salvage what is left of the season
Great start to an Argyle Manager career, fighting off relegation to the BSP.
If the team are as good as some do say, then the new gaffer will hopefully pull out the best aspects in them.
It will be interesting to see if there will be enough time to get some players in,as getting some out also.
I take it that now Fletcher has gone, the move for MacDonald is looking less likely.
Morecambe at home will also be an interesting affair if the new gaffer is in place by then, cricket score anyone !!.....

| Good to see a proper process, I hope!
I've sat on enough interview panels to know preconceptions of who should be a shoe in are often overturned at that stage. Not that that's any guarantee of success. Thems that can talk the talk also need to be able to walk the walk. |

| The one worrying thing is that it is Sexstone alone that has any decent level of experience in deciding what makes a good Football Manager.
It may come down purely to who he fancies for the job.
I'd be more comfortable if there were three or four proper footballing people on the interview panel, but I guess we have to go with what we've got. |

| Brown has only ever played for or managed "northern" teams. I think it's a big risk for him and us to uproot his family to Devon especially if results didn't go his way to start with. He could always use the old "my family couldn't settle in the area" line.

Haha. and we're only one or two managers away from a decent team, another cheapo, followed by relegation and i think the penny will finally drop with avivasville. as someone mentioned earlier, no point in paying any attention to the bookies, this is argyle after all, my money is on another 'team player' -purse to be honest, followed next june by leeroy rosenior |

| There is only one man for the job that suits all the requirements that we need and is in Brent's price range and that is .......Keith Hill.
If we can bring him here along with his deputies David Flitcroft (assistant) and Guy Proctor (fitness) (the club can still keep nance on in his role and Ro if he accepts it become GK coach) and allow him to strengthen as best as he can in January not only do i believe we will stay up but i think it willl unite the fanbase in support.
Not forgetting this appointment by Brent maybe seen as a positive step taken by him that he is finally looking towards starting the climb up the leagues next season. Will he do it though?
The others on the shortlist are either too money orinated, too "hollywood" shit or long ball specialists.
SOD falls under the hollywood tag. |

| Ian Newell@IJN3 Seeing some of the names mentioned by the Herald, fills me with dread. Sanchez? Lee? Cotterill?? I'd rip up my ST if any of them came. Let's hope for one of those three then, although even if he ripped his season ticket up he'd still get a free ride in the director's box so his comment is pointless Bring back Holloway, that'd piss the fat one off too |

SOD falls under the hollywood tag. Keith Hill does seem the best choice- let's hope he is happy to move back down. |
