| Why on earth did Williams not take our penalty, being a dead ball specialist. |

| Haha.
We don't actually have a designated penalty taker according to fletcher, its 'whoever feels like it' |

| Strikers will always grab the chance to increase their goal tally - it's just that our strikers are all particularly shit. Willo would have nailed it. |

| Feeney scored a coupla penaltys a while back. Doubled his goal tally in his 250th Argyle start.
Once again one or two Argyle players were really good and the rest average. The couple of Argyle players who manage to play well changes every game though. Last week Lennox was praised and today he's non existent. Gilmartin kept us in the game and PCH came on and run at their defence. Other than that it was an average team snatching a lucky point.
Williams I guess set the goal up and had another cracking effort saved but James beattie ran our defence with another Stanley player who's name escapes me.
As I didn't go to the game I can't mank about it though. As I'm in the bath it would be rude to mank in here. |

| I've never understood the logic of letting forwards take penalties if they're not a REAL goalscorer, and we all remember Wotton being preferred over Trigger to great success. Feeney's record speaks for itself, and some defenders have better goalscoring records than he does. Just because Feeney plays up front doesn't mean he can belt in a penalty, it just means he's more suited to a certain style of play. I would have thought Williams was the dead ball man, but where penalties are concerned, there's always a forward wanting to get in on the act.... even when he's not up to it. Another case of needing a manager to put his stamp on things .... shame we haven't got one. Play to your strengths, such as they are. |

| I think the ATD connection has a role in his non penalty taking, he has even been photographed with a couple of the Mods FFS! _______________________________________ COYG!

I couldn't agree more. The trouble is that just about everybody has missed at least one penalty now given that we have had 2 unsuccessful penalty shoot outs. I think Madjo is our only 100%er and he has gone. |

| Before this game, Feeney had scored two out of two penalties for Argyle and Williams had scored one out of two. Easy with hindsight.
I actually, in response to the misprint, think Young may have actually been the best bet, better than either Williams or Feeney. |

But Young's record is 0 out of 1 Damn I forgot he took/missed that one. Good point Well Feeney had the best record on the pitch in that case then. It's like Walton at Hereford last season. He was the only choice to take it at the time it's just easy with hindsight. It was also actually Chadwick who initially wanted the penalty before Feeney took it off him. Can't even think how many he's taken. One out of two I think. |

| Chadders record is 1 out of 2, he scored one against hereford home last season, and then missed one in pre season against preston (if that counts)
I suppose Feeney has the most successful record, but for the actual quality of the strikes, feeney has taken 3 now, and 0 look convincing.
Griffiths can hit a penalty, but obviously not on the pitch at the time, so the choice was between Feeney, Chadders and Williams, would rather it be Willo |

| Maybe. Don't think there's much in it either way really.
Walton and Wotton were excellent penalty takers and even they slipped up occasionally. It was ironically just really because it was never a penalty in a thousand years imo. |

| Because its late and I have naught else to do. First team penalty record. Maxime Blanchard - Scored: 1 Missed: 1 (Burnley, Oxford) Robbie Williams - Scored: 1 Missed 1 (Burnley, Burnley) Luke Young - Missed: 1 (Burnley) Connor Hourihane - Missed: 1 (Burnley) Andres Gurrieri - Missed: 1 (Oxford) Jamie Lowry - Missed: 1 (Oxford) Matt Lecointe - Scored: 1 (Burnley) Nick Chadwick - Scored: 1 Missed: 1 (Hereford, Preston) Warren Feeney - Scored: 2 Missed: 1 (Morecambe, Accrington) Rhys Griffiths - Scored: 2 Missed: 1 (Barnet, Oxford, AFC Wimbledon) Ten players have taken pens for us, none have taken more than 3, yet only 1 has a 100 percent record, GO MATTY |

| Was it definitely Feeney who took the penalty. Sky commentary says it was Luke Young and so does the BBC text commentary It was a great chance to take all 3 points without even playing very well. With most other teams going to have to play on an evening now for their re-arranged match. We could've been a lot further from the bottom two. |
