He's not a good manager. He might be in a few years but definitely not at the moment.

If he's taking so much stick for Brent then he's more stupid than I thought for taking the blame. I expect the truth is somewhere in the middle but that still doesn't explain the huge squad. The getting players on loan and not playing them.

Gorman from Wolverhampton while we already had five wingers? No wonder they were pissed off. Burnt any potential bridges with them and any club who heard about what happened.

Also keeping the dross from last season wasted such a huge chunk of whatever budget he had. That's where an experienced head would've stripped out the deadwood and started afresh.

If Madjo is being punished for being late and it pissed Fletcher off so much why have him in the bench? Lecointe and Simms sat somewhere kicking their heels listening to the game?

Nah too many errors in such a short space of time, and too many excuses for failure. Shit refs, we only get shit refs. The song was made for Fletcher.

I don't see that we can't have had a big budget with all the players we've had this season.

We've been playing for over 30 players at any given time. Most league Two clubs are only paying for 22/23. And yes, some of ours are kids but some of theirs are too. I also expect Fletcher's coaching staff's salaries are amongst the biggest in League 2, despite all the talk of being the cheap option. Finally throw in that fact that we've made an enormous amount of new signings which equals= more fees/loan fees, more signing on fees, more agent fees. If this was the Championship, I could accept arguments against this being a big budget. By League 2 standards, this is practically blockbuster.

If there is a financial crisis, it's partly Fletcher's doing for wasting all that money on crap that doesn't draw in the crowds, it shouldn't be an excuse for him.

its quite clear fletcher has this job as a reward for helping brent secure the club.
problem is the 'reward' could well cost argyle its financial future - see the admin rumour thread -

mix
massive squad,
way below break even gates,
struggling side

bake for 46 games

result ; financial problems NEXT season.

Is Fletcher our Ferguson?

Only in that he's like a Ferguson T20 tractor-well past his best, has no element of the 21st century or modern thinking in his design and is best viewed as a curiosity item that should only be seen at the village fete.
