| How long has the club been looking for a Chairman?
I won't hold my breath for a DoF.
Meanwhile, the slippery slope to non league gets slipperier and slipperier.

| Oh great.
Sacking Fletcher is not an option? Really? Ace.
Just a side note, of no real importance, but I would like to think that a professional football club would have had a stock image done by now of the new Director for the press to use.

| FFS, it's getting to the point where any logical person can only come to the conclusion that Fletcher is shite and should be up the road.
So, why isn't he?
With all the shit that went on with Newell and Pasoti, it was long thought that he'd 'got something' on people in the Modroom, because they were literally afraid to stand up to him.
Hey presto, Bexgate came to pass.
I just wonder if Fletcher has any sort of similar position concerning Brent or any one else in the Boardroom. It sounds rediculous, but unless Brent is refusing to sack him on the basis that he doesn't want to pay compo, then what other reason can there possibly be for Fletcher still being here as our 'manager'?
Why do Brent and Co so steadfastly defend an employee who is utterly useless at doing his job? If it were someone is his hotel chain, he'd be gone in a flash.
The whole thing stinks. |

| I have no doubt that sacking Fletcher will cost Brent a few quid. It's not just Fletcher, I think Larrieu and Nancekivell should also go......extra expense.
Then there's the new man to get in, plus a new coaching team......be it the new man's own choices or others.
So yes, it will be an expensive process. But, surely Brent can see that without a change we are heading OUT OF THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE. Yes, I'm shouting that bit as I am convinced that Brent either doesn't know the true ramifications of relegation or he doesn't care.
SACK FLETCHER NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. A DoF IS A WASTE OF TIME AND RESOURCES. I THOUGHT YOU WERE TRYING TO RATIONALISE POSITIONS AT THE CLUB BY MAKING REDUNDANCIES, NOT EMPLOY MORE!!
There.
Apologies for the capitals.
I feel better now.

That goes against everything else that was said. How can you be a director of football if you have no say in the coaching, team tactics and selection ? ... bizzare. Maybe Brent sees the CEO role as a patchwork quilt stitched between Sexstone as chairman and ANother, calling him spuriously a DOF. If the rumours regarding Fletcher's relationship with Deehan are anything to go by, it's as you were.... and the odd win, and avoiding relegation will keep Fletcher in the job for many a year. That should kill off the fanbase nicely. It appears Brent's ideas are as bizarre as Fletcher's team selections. I won't be investing. |

Being a new poster to this board and only glancing at Pasoti these days, what was all this about? |

| It seems that Brent is keeping in faith those that helped him to get his hands on the land.
Newell - Swayed opinion and sold the fans a kipper using his influence on PASOTI.
REWARD - Car park space and a seat in the Directors Box plus perks, ie driving James to away matches. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Webb - Used the Trust and PASOTI to assist Brent with his deal for the land at Central Park
REWARD - Presidency, media coverage and perks. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fletcher - Assisted to dampen the players revolt after leading it?
REWARD - Retire from playing and the Managers job ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jones - Assisted in swaying the fans opinions on PASOTI
REWARD - A warm seat in the Boardroom. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hooper - Ha!
REWARD - A non elected position on the PASB? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
More to follow. . . . . . . . |

| Question has any other 4th division team got a director of football?
Or is this yet another Argyle (comedy) "first in football" |

Off again now but will keep an eye on this place in case it ever gets to talk about anything interesting again without the words Webb, Newell, the Farm, Aviva, Village and nobody asked my questions cropping up. Might not post for some time then. Promise ? |

- Or loyalty, trust and support of an employee? That, at least, has to be acknowledged. In the 'old way' of doing things Fletcher would have to go. If they genuinely believe that he will come good, good luck to them. As I've said for some time, he may become a good manager in the future but in our present position we can't afford to be a learning ground.
I am bothered that as evidence of the claim that he will come good is his "passion & commitment" as described by the new man, Sexstone. It is oh so easy to convey passion & commitment. It is much harder to translate that into achievement. If passion & commitment were the qualification then Noddy would have made the best Argyle manager we've ever had. That's a brilliant point actually. |

| Are these genuine "first in football innitiatives" or they things that other clubs have thought about but dismissed as a shit idea?
Although I can't imagine many other clubs putting the family area between the home and away supporters. |
