| Sexstone doesn't sound like he has any confidence in Fletcher, in that interview on Radio Devon.
Very non-committal when asked if he or the Board are fully behind Fletcher.
Good news. |

| "A bright game for Plymouth Argyle" - Sparksy at half-time. And his, y'know, co-commentator, y'know, is also impressed. Could/should have done better with two but a good first half for the boys in green. |

| Just at home dreaming that Leeds get hammered today, Sextone whispers in Brents ear "time to lose the loser" after the inevitable loss, and Neil Warnock has agreed to start on Monday at H.P, after being sacked today at 5pm. It's not a bad dream is it? |

| Lazing at home watching the rain, listening to the rugby. If I could be bothered it'd still be Fletcher out for me. |

| Never mind - even though Chesterfield have been outplayed by us and the lads have worked their socks off (and a shot from thingummy for us) we are now 1 - 0 down.
Look on the bright side at least Torquay are winning and Exeter are losing. |

| 5711 hardy souls still there. Kudos to you all, I don't think the haemorraging of support has finished yet though.
Message for PJ if he's reading :- Yep, somebody "sacked by Bury who never achieved anything" will do just fine now, he couldn't do any worse. |

If that figure is how many people were actually at the game it's incredible. How many will now turn up for York at home in a fortnight? Going to need the grand old Duke of York's men to make it past the break even figure. |

Look on the bright side at least Torquay are winning and Exeter are losing. Argyle did indeed dominate the game, especially first half, but i knew what the result was going to be long before Chesterfield scored.Countless corners for Argyle and free kicks, ball hitting the bar, side netting, cleared off the line etc etc.All irrelevant though-nearly and if only are the two most over used words in sport. There just aren't enough goals in the team and the situation is now getting very urgent because a mere point seperates us from the relegation slots.A new man, with experience and a track record, is needed at the helm now and if Mr Brent delays any longer, then the future of the club will be in grave jeopardy. The proviso for the new man is that he must be allowed to have a look at the squad in the months up to January and then be given a free hand to ruthlessly overhaul this squad-no more crocks, non leaguers or other clubs academy rejects, just some decent professionals to supplement the few good players on the books.Argyle are in a mess, far bigger than many rather complacent people seem to realise and the situation is bleak-i've seen too many relegation seasons not to be able to recognise the tell tale signs and we are on the way down. There were a few "we want Fletcher out "chants from a section of the Devonport end but they were soon drowned out by that bloke with the drum and his cohorts singing the "Argyle til i die" mantra, presumably in the name of loyalty, misguided and self defeating in my view.According to my mate, there were a few Fletcher out chants from the grandstand too.I've got nothing against the man and don't particularly enjoy witch hunts but more than anything,i care very much about Plymouth Argyle and this situation must, repeat must, come to a head now if a real disater is to be averted. |

| You're wasting your breath, greenskin, and your money. They aren't for turning ... the sycophants, management and new owners have a boys' own 'blood brothers in arms' pact, and they would rather drop out of the league rather than admit the horse they backed and the not very pleasant culture they have created is doomed..... might see a scorched earth attitude soon if things get worse. Some of them have blindly painted themselves into a corner, and haven't the wit to get out of it.
As for banners, football clubs have always pulled "out" banners fropm fans. there's only one thing they don't understand and can't handle ..... just don't go.... rip up season tickets if it's that bad .... that WILL change their minds ... always has. 5,700 ? ... that will include the 4 season ticket holders I know that didn't go ? |

| A cracking example of how badly organised we were - Nelson at one point ran fout of position, ended up in between Berry and MacDonald trying to win a header - and failing miserably to do so. Is organisation, really knowing your role too much to ask?
The basics seem impossible at times. We panic in both boxes, although it's rare we actually get into the opposition box outside of set pieces.
Fletch makes Steve Kean look competent. |
