| He has been awarded manager of the month and Brent has extended his contract until the end of the 2016/17 season. Does that help? _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! (A true GSG Girl) PepsiPete Forecasting League Champion 2016-17 He was behind me at Charlton! | I have a feeling that if we lose easily tomorrow he'll go.
We have the look of a bunch of ill prepared individuals. There isn't either the vision and passion of a motivating coach or the discipline and fitness that would be there with a Pulis type character.
No-one is scared of Fletch. Whilst that is not a way of managing a group of players long term everyone needs to be on their toes if the boss is watching. There needs to be an edge to it. I've heard for example that Purse is not fit tomorrow (if he wasn't suspended) due to let's say a fit of anger after being sent off and trying to recreate his greatest goal by using a wall in Fleetwood rather than a ball.
His body language suggests he's under tremendous pressure and simply doesn't know what to do. I'll give you an example - the club is in crisis and we haven't won for a month. He has the opportunity to have the team together for 4 nights. He's taken a squad of players and not all of them have played on Saturday and yet after Saturday's game the players met up for their first training session of the trip this morning. |

One would bloody hope so. Defeat (and a heavy one at that against Bradford City) will hopefully see Fletcher shown the door. Having said that,it will be business as usual on Wednesday no doubt. |

| Funny thread this as I was at work and one of my team came on shift at 2pm who happens to be an avid Exeter shitty supporter. So despondent am I at the moment that I shook his hand and declared "Steve you have a better team and manager than us at the moment, I have to be honest and I wish them well". He then responds with I just saw something on bbc Devon about Fletcher might be going, at which point I did an almighty "yeeess" in the office, thereby getting some funny looks probably meaning "you pathetic tw@t". So Steve goes onto the web to look on the bbc Devon site and nothing there, but I'm still thinking its maybe true and it's not officially announced yet, such is my wish. Now I hasten to add Steve is not a wum of any sort, and it fact he was working with me a year ago when I was listening to our Stourbridge defeat live on the radio. He felt so sorry at my distress and anger that he made me a cup of tea and gave me some words of hope that things can only get better. But here we are one year on and you all know how it is, another non league defeat and could be in the bottom two at the weekend. I would laugh at it al if it was'nt so predictable and sad. |

| My gut feeling is that if it's another debacle tonight, Brent will react to the thought of having to bail out the club to counter the inevitable dwindling gates and go through another relegation battle. If it comes to pass we are well beaten tonight I can only fantasize that The new guy Sextone will whisper in Brent's ear "lose the loser". |

| Fletcher has inspired no belief in a few of us since he was appointed as a cheap option and opened his mouth for the first time. He might well have been a half decent footballer and could well be a nice enough chap but management material ????????? He typifies the Brent regime. The worrying point now is whom they will replace him with and who will advise Brent ? Maybe 'ee bleeds green' and 'would you say that to his face' types, have already made the decision ? |
