You can take part in a vote for Argyle's home kit for 2013/14 in The Herald, starting tomorrow. #pafc

| Two things the new kit needs:
1) Put the player's number on the front, so it looks like we're attacking.
2) Get a sponsorship deal from Pontins (their season ends in November, too).
Eye thang yew. I'm here all week. |

| I wonder who devised the short list and whether any of the designs that we floated about by fans last year were considered. Or perhaps its a few off the peg solutions. |

| The ones posted a few months ago were pretty good in comparison to most we've actually had. If they're sticking to those it's a good move, if it's anything like this seasons shit then it's typical of the club.
Mushy pea green and mustard yellow anyone? |

| From previous 'vote for your favourite kit' initiatives I suspect there will be very little in the way of genuine choice. It's normally just a choice from a selection of near-identical options that the suppliers has given PAFC to choose from. Hope I'm wrong though as it's been ages since we had a decent kit. |

| As predicted. It's a choice between 3 near identical kits - all the same colour green, all very similar patterns. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| FFS. What a convenient 'goodish' news story to quite obviously deflect from yesterday's bad news. F*cking pathetic, convenient and horribly predictable PR from PA Fecking C. It's like reading a press release from Cameron's mob! God this club drives me insane sometimes. No, all the fecking time. Grrrrr. If Brent ever steps down, well should I say when Brent stands down after the grandstand etc has been finished, I'm going to nominate my Border Collie for chairdog. Could he do any worse in the insanely amateur way in which PAFC is run? I honestly don't think so. I was going to go to the game tonight, but you know what. I'm not. I just haven't got the interest at this monent in time. I'm strolling over the the Fortescue for a few/lots of pints and catch up with some old friends from the US over here on holiday. SO, where the f*ck are the three pigs? They haven't been this quiet since Deepthroat! I don't even know what I'm saying now. damn, I'm mad. Rant over, porridge in the microwave and then out with my doggy. UP YOURS

| Didn't it happen one year where the winning design was different to the one eventually chosen by the club anyway, or did I dream that? |

| I'll try and find the link later but I don't remember those being the pretty decent ones submitted by someone when the current shit was unveiled?
At the time I'm sure Mr president praised them too and said something along the lines of they would be great and there would be fan involved next time.
A couple of points, why do the club feel it necessary to change kits again? So more can be sold, further draining people's finances during hard times. No-one wants to be wearing the old kit do they? How many kits have there been in the last ten years or so?
The current kit is shite but to roll out a new kit every year is scandalous.
A second point, these kits are boring as feck, where's the cool one's submitted a while ago? If this is the extent of fan involvement then it's bollocks.
Giving people a choice doesn't always mean a good thing. It's like asking do you want to be relegated months before the end of the season so it's expected, go down to the last kick of the season so at least we put up a fight, or get relegated as a result of having points docked for having a cnut as a manager and not being sensible enough to sack the tw@t when he didn't get rid of last seasons shite and signed some more crap to keep the others company? |

| 'The one with the most votes by Wednesday, December 5 will be the home shirt Plymouth Argyle will wear next season.'
we'll see
number 3 would be my choice, but 40 years of supporting argo, tells me we'll have one foisted upon us, by higher powers |

There was a vote some years back - shortly after Luggy returned, I think - but it was a vote on the colour of the away kit. It was done by emailing the club. I know about this because I happened to be up there for a meeting and was asked to scrutinise the votes in case anybody said it was a fix. I spent a considerable amount of time going through them, and it wasn't a fix. But lots of people said it was anyway. (The winning colour was tangergreen.) |

| I would guess that every club in the land has a new strip each year. Now that away strips are automatically different this becomes a good earner for the club.
I have read elsewhere that these strips are the consequence of a tough deal with the kit supplier as we were exiting administration. |

| Does it matter what the kit is? the team is crap so have crap kit. I would hate to think we had a really good one for next season and then end up having to wear it in the blue square.
I think my favorite kit was the 1966 to 68 what is yours? |

I have read elsewhere that these strips are the consequence of a tough deal with the kit supplier as we were exiting administration. But is it a "good earner" as apparently you can't get a shirt to fit any of the larger sizes. Not that I would buy the current shirt but I went in the shop the other day to look for a rain jacket / bench coat or something similar and there was nothing. I freely admit to being XFB size and looking around HP on a matchday I'm certainly not alone. The club is missing a trick by only catering basically for children & small adults. |

| Presumably as we're tied into Puma they won't allow us to go off the beaten track too much. As long as we stuck with Puma, the shirts will remain with an off the peg feel. Some of those designs on Pasoti a while back were fantastic but you get the feeling that the decisions already been made on the shirt and we're dangled this to keep us all happy. Forze Verde wasn't the name chosen by the fair vote so why should we think this would be any different? Get the proper green back for starters. |

| It is Ploy to take the heat off the redundancy news, a small write up on an inside page, where there is a big back page spread on the shirt competition. The sheep will follow the shirt |

| Totally agree that this is timed to relegate the vastly more important news of redundancies. In line with the topic though, the designs are bland. All I really care about re. the kit is that the club get rid of the mouldy green dishcloth colour that it uses now. As an aside, have the redundancies been confirmed yet? I know its been on spotlight, but from the club? |
