| Found this. Some nice shots of 'back in the day'. Takes ages to load for some reason but stick with it if you want to see a snapshot of olde Plymouth. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| How bizarre - not so much the Tour coming to Plymouth, but I bet the girly was delighted to be crowned 'Miss Ready Mixed Concrete'. |

| Jeez, I recognise her. She won several beauty things at the time, maybe even the Miss Westward thing. Everyone was doing it in those days. My fiance beat her though in a South West Taverns competition where one of the judges was none other than Robert Daniels .... still, we all have our ghosts we'd rather not talk about. Here's one for Lee..... MR TSW scroll down to program Mr TSW 1982 .... someone might see their dad |

While we're on confessionals, one of my ex's came 2nd in Miss Plymouth, circa '88... To take shallow vanity to the next level, she then insisted on wearing her sash and posh frock down to the Malthouse and on to Avis's! We didn't last long... |
