It's Alpe d'Huez day today. Two big mountains and then The Monster.

I have a buddy who used to be a coach driver. He once drove up the Alpe in his coach. "I've no idea how they cycle up it. There's so many hairpin bends my arms were aching long before I got to the top" he once said.

One of the true spectacles of any sport and it's live on ITV4 all day if you want to witness the agony in all of its glory.

It gets no rawer than this.

There is a lone rider who has broken away and has more than 4 mins in hand.

Not that I know of.

Maybe not as drugged up? I find it hard to believe that they're not all at it to some degree.

Chris Froome will find his cough drops at some point, and put 5 or 6 minutes into everyone.

It reminds me of the gag:
