Certificate Signed by James Brent

I just received a certificate from James Brent - number 1078. It was for being a 125 Founder Member. It was a really nice touch as the signature is printed on some weird 80gsm wove paper and it was packed and posted in Birmingham - Birmingham is pretty local as it's just past Ivybridge. I'm not sure who designed it but it contains at least five different fonts on one single sheet of paper (always a sign of class) and I haven't received a certificate since I was at primary school.

There seems to be a 5% reduction on the membership package because of this.Do i recall from the recesses of my murky psyche that there was a sort of rolling reduction proposed for long term members back in the early Stapes years?

If I were given the choice of village, small town, city, metropolis or galactic imortal intelligentsia clever than thou, out of choice I would plump for small town myself. But if I were running a football club as a pro outfit, it would have to be city bordering on metropolis ... that is where football thrives in this country... nowhere else.

I've got a feeling that the 5% rolling reduction was Tony Campbell's baby rather than Stapleton's but whoever started the scheme it applied to the old pre-admin Argyle which no longer exists and not the new, current Brent Argyle. The 5% referred to here is for FOUNDATION not FOUNDER members. The Foundation is the youth training support programme and I don't recall who started that. That might have been Stapleton. Founder Members are those who signed up for a season ticket before a certain date last season, I think, but will probably be extended to include all of last season's season ticket holders because if it isn't Tony Cholwell and the GAS board will be tearing Brent a new one I'm sure.

Ah yes,i see now,i expect quite a few will be confused by that.Just out of curiousity,would the non payment of the rolling reduction that was promised to founder members for their loyalty have qualified us as creditors and therefore part of the CVA? Not that it matters much in financial terms,just a point of interest.
