| Seems I misheard Elaine (or cocked up) but as Charlie says we've reached the target for an established first team player (£660 including VAT [not as well as ]). We have some money left over- please suggest what we should do- carry on to get another player/ board, site upkeep or any other reasons that can be thought of. I would postpone/ stop donating until we reach an agreement between ourselves (if the majority want to go for player sponsorship?). New players are £540 (including VAT), the 12'6" by 4' grandstand boards are £750 + VAT. If we go for a player, we can go for Wotton/ and possibly Nelson now, or wait a few weeks to see if anyone else is available? |

| Fools rush in and all that...
Why not wait until the very end and pick up the ‘unwanted’?
Personally, I would go for the ‘advert’ first. Stand on our own two feet and blow our own trumpet and all that..
I understand the tradition of sponsoring players but for ATD it really does seem ‘farm’.
Anyway... By waiting until the end, we know how much we have raised, and sponsoring the ‘unwanted’ would seem to fit in with how many on ATD found themselves to be resident on ATD. |

| I reckon it would be worth having a poll to see whether to sponsor a player or go for an advertising board.
If it's a player then another poll to see who, once we have details of who's available, and if it's a sign I believe Nick had offered to design it previously, unless my memory is playing tricks on me.
Personally if it's to be a sign, then it should be a prominent one, seen by as many people as possible. |

| Let's sponsor the worst player we can find.
I nominate any of our current squad. |

| "Groundboards are £1500 + vat for the perimeter boards at pitchside (20’) and around the top of the horseshoe(40’)
The boards on the Grandstand 12’6” x 4’ are £750 + vat."
Nothing quoted about the inside perimeter boards but we can find out.
The unknown is the cost of the production of the board. I imagine it could be quite substantial.
We've done remarkably well to raise the money but several members have donated £50 or more. Whether the less comitted will continue to chip in, I'm not so sure. I wouldn't like to fall between two stools and end up with a couple of hundred quid just sitting in the account.
Whilst I was initially a hoarding fan, I've come round to the player sponsorship mainly because of the potential for having our name in the programme each week.

| The cost of the board might be 'built in' as they will probably need to conform to set standards. Do we know if the board prices are for one year or longer ? If it is the former, any money left over can be put towards site running/improvement costs and/ or next year's board costs. |

Do hoarding fans all agree on the same thing, or do some sit on the fence? Just for you Charlie, some hoardings for you from the UK's specialists. It must be like pornography to you, the choice is endless [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Keep our powder dry now then. Don't go sponsoring Williams if he signs, wait for a new signing or go for the advertising board I reckon. |
